About this property
Riverside Courtyard Glenelg North | Pets Welcome
Summary:
Sitting on the scenic banks of the Patawalonga River, and 2 minutes walk to the beach, public transport, family-friendly activities, and the Glenelg nightlife. 10 mins drive the airport. This 2 bedroom ground floor Marina View apartment boasts river views from the living room where the boats are silently moored. Sleeping up to 4 persons (and up to 2 well behaved fur babies on request).
The Space:
Looking out at the serene Patawalonga River, from the open plan living room where you can watch the boats which are silently moored.
The apartment is fully tiled throughout, featuring 2 bedrooms, 1 King-wdth Queen bed and 2 Single beds, sleeping up to 4 persons. Your car space is right outside your door and your secure rear courtyard includes dog kennel, pet tray and table setting. We also supply food and water bowls if you are travelling with fur babies.
Our apartment building is an old girl, built in the 70s by our grandfather who was a well known local builder in the Glenelg area. Whilst she isn't particularly pretty to look at from the outside these days (unless you're really into the 70s brown brick look!), don't be mislead, as she definitely makes up for her older exterior in the fantastic location, apartment interiors and the amazing river views!
Please be aware that if occasional traffic noise is an issue for you, the street we are located on can get busy at times, especially when events are on in Glenelg. It isn't a main road or highway, but it is a popular suburban street/access road to the glenelg north beach area.
Guest Access:
Entire apartment, including private courtyard. One free number allocated off-street uncovered carpark right outside your door. External common area laundry with coin operated washing machines and dryer on site if required (and clothes airer in apartment).
The Neighborhood:
Glenelg is filled with all kinds of delicious eateries, sweeteries, shopperies and bar-hopperies, and they are all just a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from the apartment. Established in 1836, Glenelg is the oldest European settlement on Mainland South Australia, and did you notice something interesting about the name GLENELG? That’s right, it’s a Palindrome, which means it’s the same back-to-front as it is front-to-back. There are over 300 local businesses to choose from along the kilometre long main street that is Jetty Road, and when you’ve shopped til you’ve dropped you can reward yourself with a fabulous coffee, a glass of wine or a meal in one of our many interesting cafés or restaurants, ranging from quirky and casual to formal dining.
Getting Around:
Bus's and trams all easily accessible from the apartment. Don’t forget to experience a ride in one of Glenelg’s iconic trams, which take you from Jetty Road right through to the City to Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre.
Other Things to Note:
Up to 2 small-medium sized house trained dogs allowed upon request. If you are travelling with a pet, please advise us when making your booking, as there is an additional pet stay fee applicable. Pets are not allowed on beds or soft furnishings, and guests must clean up after them in the yard.
Please also ensure you list the correct amount of persons/pets in your booking requests because this also ensures you get enough linen included for each guest.
For extended stays over 21+ nights, mid-stay servicing is required for the upkeep of the property. We will notify you if this is due to occur during your stay.

We had a great time in Adelaide with the unit being a fantastic home base for us. Its location was excellent - an easy walk to Glenelg shops, trams and the beach. Great to have onsite parking and really fantastic to be able to have our pooch stay with us. Check in was made very easy by our hosts - we really had a wonderful stay.
The team at Hello Host made the process to check in easy and had been able to accommodate an extension for my client. The property is well set out and all of the desired amenities, in a prime location on the waterfront. Communication was excellent and an all-round positive experience.

Not great, not terrible. Just Average.
Stayed here for 7 nights. Located 10 minutes walk from the beach/shops and the property is pet friendly which was all great. Property was tidy, and we were grateful for the tea, coffee and milk provided on arrival. Nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash supplied by owners. Lots of noise pollution from passing traffic and the neighbors above who kept banging and slamming doors late into the night. The beds had nice clean sheets, but I developed a rash all over my body on the third night, which got worse each night. I suspect the mattress was the culprit. The wifi kept disconnecting, and at one stage the water was turned off so plumbers could come to fix a leak. When the water came back on it ran brown and didn't run clean again for the remainder of our stay. Communication from owners was prompt and we were kept updated about plumbing and wifi which I do appreciate. The price was reasonable compared to other properties. We got what we paid for, but considering all the issues we encountered I would probably pay extra next time to stay somewhere else.
We have stayed at this property several times and always found it to be clean and tidy, with ample supplies of everything required. Great views, close to German Shepherd Dog Club South Australia, as we were there for shows this is most important to us.Thank you
Clean and neat property. Easy contact wiyh hello. Perfect base

Not as advertised
The Unit was very nice and would be good for a couple to stay. Not good for dogs or small children.
Having said that it was obvious that the advertising was way out of date. It was marketed as pet friendly with a courtyard and a lawned area with table, chairs and small playground. The brush fence in courtyard was falling apart and a small dog could push its way out. We were told by a cleaner that the lawned area had been sold to the next door property and was not accessible to us. There was no house number on building and we had to help two groups of confused overseas guests who couldn't find no. 17.
This short stay was the best of the lot.
Loved the location & the accommodation. The communication with stayz & smartlet was excellent. We will definitely stay again.
Excellent location, easy walk to jetty road, cafes and restaurants
Easy to book excellent rental staff to deal with although the property is a little dated and we could have had an extra blanket but everything was clean best and tidy
The apartment is rather tired and not very homely. The linen is not fresh and crisp, with synthetic quilt cover. Kitchen is reasonably well equipped but not modern. Ditto bathroom. Sofas are low budget. Curtains are daggy. Overhead lighting is poor, including over kitchen benches. Free wifi, dishwasher and air conditioning in the living area are positives. Likewise the response by management to any issues was prompt. Although the apartment is pet-friendly, no animal lover would leave their dog in the bare paved courtyard.
This apartment has so much potential and a few simple upgrades would help it capitalise on its potential.
