Search Acquarica hotels

The best area to stay in Acquarica is generally within the historic centre of the town or in a nearby Masseria.

Staying within the historic centre of Acquarica offers convenience and a sense of local life. The town is small and walkable, with the main piazza and local shops easily accessible. You'll find traditional Puglian architecture, and it's a good base for exploring the surrounding Salento region.

For couples or those seeking a more tranquil and luxurious experience, a Masseria just outside the town centre is an excellent choice. These converted farmhouses often provide spacious accommodation, beautiful grounds, and amenities like swimming pools and high-end fitness equipment.

The best time to go to Acquarica is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, or September, and October.

These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures great for exploring the Salento region without the intense heat and larger crowds of mid-summer. You'll find the countryside is lush, and the sea is warm enough for swimming, particularly in late spring and early autumn.

Couples looking for a relaxing holiday will appreciate the quieter atmosphere during these times. You can enjoy strolls through olive groves, visit local vineyards, and dine al fresco at traditional trattorias without needing to book far in advance. The mild evenings are ideal for enjoying a glass of local wine.

Families travelling with younger children will also find these periods more comfortable.
