"A truly glowing review for Ardoe House Hotel & Spa We stayed as a party of five across three rooms from 14 to 16 April, and this was an absolute find. The hotel is magnificent — a stunning 19th-century Baronial mansion set within beautiful 30-acre grounds with sheep in the fields. It's a peaceful countryside retreat, yet just five miles from Aberdeen. Our rooms were spacious, modern, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with tea/coffee, fridge, safe, iron, hairdryer, and quality bathroom toiletries. Breakfast was a delight — a well-cooked, tasty buffet with hot and cold options, regularly replenished. The gym is modern and well-equipped. The indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room were excellent — even with swimming lessons taking place, there was still ample space. Parking was plentiful, despite the hotel being busy, and the staff were friendly throughout. Ardoe House is a gem. Beautiful history, modern comforts, and wonderful grounds. We'll definitely be back."

"The place is picturesque and it could be so much more if they put effort in. The bed was comfortable but not the pull out bed. The breakfast was ok, staff was very limited sometimes you were waiting half HR for a seat when really there were not that many guests. The pool had some work done and the saw dust was sitting on the side for two days. Shame as it a lovely building."

"We arrived late in the evening after a very long drive from Isle of Skye, we were greeted by a wonderful staff member who was so efficient and quick at checking us in. Our room was peaceful spacious and clean. Our check out was equally wonderful staff are amazing. Breakfast included was top notch as well 5 out of 5 stars. If you have a car and want somewhere extremely cost effective and close to everything with short drive this one is it! And don’t let the airport fool you! Quiet as ever! You spiel know it was there. "Very nice one-night stay. Lovely building and grounds. A bit too cold to enjoy the outdoors, but the gardens and general outdoor areas are very nice indeed. Would be fabulous on a nice warm sunny day. Rooms are large and comfortable, although facilities look a bit dated (not necessarily a bad thing if you like things old-school and traditional). Lovely staff, very welcoming. "

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic amenities but that was all we wanted. They have an EV charger in the car park which was an unexpected bonus. The fee was £0.50/kWh which is reasonable."
