"Check in and out was smooth and easy. Staff from check-in, to the spa, to the bar, and to housekeeping in the halls were all friendly and smiled. The property itself was beautiful and conveniently located. I was extremely disappointed with the bell hops located outside upon leaving though. I was asked to wait in the lobby and would be called when a taxi was ready for me.. on my ride to Heathrow I mentioned the wait to the driver and he informed me that there are some bell hops that have favorite taxi drivers that give them tips (he was sure to inform me he wasn't one). Before checking out, I went downstairs for breakfast and a walk.. upon return I deliberately asked one of the doormen if there are always taxis coming through and was informed there is usually one so would be no waiting. Keeping this mind I did not rush.. and regretted it. The taxi driver took a longer route then I planned and was very aggressive, obviously annoyed I was curious and questioned the wait.. not at all comforting for a single woman to be at the mercy of. Needless to say, I'll be reserving a car next time."

"Funny how things turn out for the better. I booked the hotel due to its close proximity to Pancras Station, as my stay was only for one day. At first having no view was somewhat bothersome and I hesitated booking it, but it was only for one night, so why not. Let me tell you, this was THE BEST decision I made. After traveling over 20 hours by plane, train, the tube, walking throughout the city and staying out after midnight, the rooms in the sub level from the lobby are peacefully q-u-i-e-t. I slept so well without hearing traffic noise or sensing sunlight creeping through the curtains. If this type of room was available in every big city after a long grueling travel day, I would book in a heartbeat. The quality rest was worth it!"

"Lovely reception area and staff was very nice and helpful. Room was dated but we had a very comfortable stay and didn't mind for the price paid. Large quadruple room with 2 twin beds in an upstairs loft. Clean bathroom. The location was perfect for us. Took the tube direct from Heathrow to Gloucester Rd station. Short 5 min walk to hotel from station. Gloucester Rd station had direct tube lines to the main sights so very convenient. Would definitely stay here again."

"I cannot reccomend this hotel enough. The location is perfect. Literally around the corner from the tube and water embankments. Walking distance to Big Ben, westminster abby, the london eye. There is a beautiful park across the street that runs along the river thames. Convient stores, coffee shops, pubs, all around. The staff were absolutely wonderful. I asked for help about 3 times besides checkout/in. Everytime I had a different person, everyone was friendly, cheerful and prompt. Amazing! The gym had everything you need to get your workout done. A good variety of equipment. I went at all times of the day, it was always clean and not busy. The lounge with coffee machine for guests was great and the filtered water system they have for the guests is also fantastic. No having to buy countless bottles at the shops. The laundry!!!! So happy they have this! Wash your own clothes, dont need to pay or buy detergent. When your on a 2 week trip with 1 suitcase for 2 people, yeah! So appreciative and thankful for the laundry. The room was a good size. Cleaning staff was very friendly and did an excellent job. My only comment here is that the bed in 427 was a bit uncomfortable, a bit too soft and very squeaky. We did eat at the pizza place attached to the hotel, it was very good. If we ever come thru london again, I will definetly book here!"
