"the hostel was so close to Gare du nord there are so many restaurants around the hostel very lively area for sure i would stay again and again when i take the eorostar it’s so convenient thanks all the staffs very friendly and welcoming thank you "

"The hotel was just across the road from Gare du Nord, so very convenient. However, it was very cramped in communal areas. No kettle provided in room. A spiral staircase up to rooms, or a small lift. Only a tiny side room for use as a ‘lounge’, with kettle, teabags and microwave. We didn’t have breakfast, but could see that it was served downstairs, accessed by small lift and spiral staircase. Our room was fine, with shower room and separate loo. But the room which contained the toilet was tiny - could hardly shut the door!"

"The hotel is pretty close to the train station. Plenty of places around to eat. The room was clean. The bathroom is clean but very small. The neighbourhood is very noisy."

"Loved this hotel! The location is fantastic, of course - we stepped out of Gare du Nord and voila! There it was. Idiot proof. The room decor is creative, shall we say, but we had a king size bed, a fridge with beer and snacks, a terrific shower and a toilet in a separate room with a door. (This last item is key if you’re travelling with someone else, so I want to mention it in the review so you don’t have to study the pictures and hazard a guess.) Best of all is the included buffet breakfast which is 10/10, 5 stars, gold medal. It had everything you’d want, plus a rack of newspapers AND bubbly on ice. We promptly made ourselves mimosas, which started our travel day beautifully. Most civilized."

"This hotel had high average review, which was why we booked it. However, we were not happy with a few things about the room. First of all, we had a room with a bathtub and a hand held wand for showing. We didn't realize that if we wanted a shower, we had to book a room specifically with a shower. I have never had to do that before. Second, the central air/heat was controlled by the front desk so we had to call the front desk to have the room temperature adjusted from heat to cool and back. Third, Rue Taylor is narrow side street that didn't seem all that safe at night. There were often some unseemly characters lurking about nearby, which was uncomfortable, since the street was rather secluded. Fourth, the toilet was contained is a separate room/stall with its own door and handle. There was no wash basin in it. So after using the toilet, you had to leave the closet and go to the bathroom to wash your hands. Having said all that, the hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable and the towels were changed every day. They didn't have one of those 'environmentally guilty' signs about reusing the towels and out towels were changed regardless of whether they were on the floor or on the rack. We liked that."
