“Welcoming staff”

The staff in the Ai Due Principi are all very welcoming and helpful. They are alert to those entering and leaving the building and this gives a sense of greater security as well as a pleasant 'Buon Giorno' or 'Buona Sera'. Rooms are elegant and clean and the canal, in front of the hotel, is quiet yet interesting.

“Great hotel. Great location. Great service”

Beautiful room - look exactly like the website photos and we had the standard room. Stunning bathroom. Good air conditioning. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Quiet location but only 5 min walk to St Mark's Square. No bridges to cross when you take your luggage from the ferry or water taxi at San Zaccaria stop. Would definitely stay there again. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. One tip: keep the windows closed. The first night we didn't and got bitten to death by mosquitoes - in October.

“Perfect location”

Perfect location for exploring Venice, with a canal right outside the front door!! The room was tiny, but absolutely beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.A great hotel if you like modern but tasteful decor, and not the over chintzy Venitian style.I hate to be overly critical, but the bed was really hard!! The staff were helpful and mostly friendly, guiding us to a good fish restaurant on our first night there.A wonderful holiday, completed with a marriage proposal!!!!!! I said YES!!

“Venice”

We stayed here for two days and on the second day got an free upgrade to the Canal view room which is much larger as well. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and convenient but just like any hotel in Europe, the size is not what you'd expect in the US. It's great to have a well air conditioned room in Venice to take short breaks during in the day especially in the summer time. The located was great, 5 mins walk to Saint Marco's and plenty great restaurants around. Internet is charged by the hour but price is reasonable. Getting to the hotel from the train station needs some planning ahead. You can take the water taxi for 60 euros or take the water bus for much less and walk to the hotel. I'd recommend the water bus and take the one that goes through the grand canal. Don't bring large luggage to Venice, nothing larger than check in luggage.

“Venice Hotel in Castello Near Plaza San Marco”

Great hotel located on a small canal in Castello, just a few minutes walk from the Plaza San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, Bridge of Sighs, even Rialto. Also a short walk to the San Marco (San Zaccaria) vaporetto stop for ferries to the Grand Canal, Lido, etc. Recently renovated rooms, friendly and helpful staff - very highly recommended!

“Definitely recommend”

Great hotel with very good location - close to San Marco and waterfront yet street is not too busy and has canal right outside. The rooms were super - fab shower and tasteful modern room furnishings. If you must have a bath double check room has one. Staff really helpful. Quite a small breakfast area but small courtyard area supplements this. Would definitely recommend and use again. Take insect repellant spray for mosquitos if sitting outside unless you have a few smokers sitting next to you!!

“super - in love!”

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel! Located in a great area - 5 minute walk from the main waterbus stop - and lots of great places to eat nearby! If you want to be in the thick of the nightlife ( if you can find any in venice!) this hotel isn't for you try somewhere up near the Grandcanal- but this was perfect for us! On check-in we were given a room upgrade ( great start to our hooneymoon!) the room was exactly like it was on the website - perfect! The breakfast is typical european, not up our street but what we chose was lovely. If I came back to Venice I would definatley think about this hotel!!!
