“Not a bad downtown hotel”

If you like peace and quiet this is not the hotel for you. Walls and doors transmit sound well. The rooms seemed to renovated recently, the bathroom was in far better shape than I had expected.

“Worst 3 star hotel ever stayed in.”

- This hotel should be made 2 star or under. - Very low value for money. The kind of rate they charge for the quality of hotel, services you would feel cheated for sure. - Avoid this hotel - there are lot many good hotels in Vancouver downtown area with much higher value. - The only reason they think it is fine to fleece customers is because they are located in a prime location-- but it is still not worth it.

“Great Location”

Hotel is basic budget hotel, not dumpy, but not anything special either. Location is what is all about. It is on Granville Street, and 2 blocks from Robson Street. If you are into nightlife, it is the place to stay. It is also walking distance from the Canada-Line Skytrain (YVR - Waterfront route)

“Good Service, But it is Noisy”

The service is good. They are friendly. However, they have a bar on the first floor, and I stayed on second floor. It was so noisy, and the bar open until 3 AM, and I was awaken around 5 or 6 times at night until 3 AM they close. The sound insulation is also bad. I even know Mark and Nick stayed next room to mine. They talked as normal volume, but I just can hear it. And at the only night I stayed there, a couple was arguing each other in the hallway. Some of the people were just drunk. After around fifth time being awaken by noise, I went to lobby to request changing room, but they said the rooms were all booked at the night and they gave me two pairs of ear plugs. I think that is my first ever experience put the ear plug on and sleep in the hotel. Next morning, they waive my parking fee. I think their service is friendly, but if you ask me if I want to stay there again, I properly won't.

“Too noisy in and out!”

I think this hotel may be used by lots of very young people coming to visit Vancouver on the cheap. The noise level was unacceptable - and we had to endure loud rap through the wall until 10 p.m. (quiet time) and again by 6 a.m. The desk was responsive to a 2 a.m. complaint.

“Pleasantly surprised!”

Great clean hotel in a super convienant location. Right in between yaletown and granville street. Could not have been happier for the price.

“More than I expected”

Although the room is kind of small, for the price, it was very cozy, clean and we had a great time! The receptionist was friendly, the location was great, and they served breakfast (which I did not get however). I would definitely stay again. I stayed at the Empire Landmark last time, with the same star rating, and it was HORRIBLE. Don't ever stay there!!!
