“An entire efficiency apartment for the price of a hotel room”

The only downside was that because it is in a new development, the address listed is not either in Google Maps nor Garmin GPS, both of which directed me to a location several miles away and but for the patient directions provided by an elderly resident who apparently has numerous Meteor Val de Loire Resort guests directed to his REMOTE address, I would never have found the resort. That being said, once found, it truly IS a resort, with it's own restaurant and other facilities. You do not get a "hotel room"... you get an entire efficiency apartment with sleeping, living, dining areas including a kitchenette! The resort is located just outside Amboise, literally down the street. The beautiful hostess was fluent in both French and English recommended a superb restaurant around the corner from the Amboise Chateau. I opted to have breakfast at the resort restaurant. It was what I had learned to expect in France as a continental breakfast (only with fresh squeezed orange juice!)... until the waiter asked me if I would like any ham or eggs cooked to order? I asked if he had sausage and eggs and he said of course, brought out a plate of ham and proscuitto, followed by a plate of scrambled eggs and three viena sausages! I forgot that "sausage" in Europe is more akin to the American hotdog and there is nothing akin to American breakfast links lol lol! It was appreciated and delicious nevertheless!

“Modern, Spacious and Relaxing”

These are new constructions, just a mile outside of town, spacious and wonderful for a family. We were VERY impressed, comfortable and would recommend this to anyone traveling in a group. We had a flat screen TV on both floors of our suite, two separate bedrooms and a bathroom/toilet upstairs, as well as a bathroom downstairs, and full kitchen. Lots of windows. Safe. Located in some fields just south of town. Very near Amboise and Chenonceau Castle. Only negatives: 1-Long way to pull your luggage over small gravel paths (no parking next to your unit, although if you can wait, there is a golf cart driver to escort you) 2-Have to pay for wireless Internet Otherwise- excellent!

Area recommendations

This is located outside of town, so you wouldn't want it if you came by train. Car or bike visitors are fine.

“Very good room and nice hotel to stay in”

In fact I was suprised by the quality of room. The hotel itself is under building and parking is reltively far from the rooms, but room is very good, including kitchen, LCD TV, and a lot of space inside. The stuff was very nice
