A wonderful attic apartment in Amboise

My wife, son and I stayed at Claude’s wonderful attic apartment. It was right in the middle of town easy to everything getting in and getting out or easy. It had everything we needed for a three day day and we would recommend it highly to our friends if and when they head to that part of the world.

Quaint apartment in wonderful location!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The apartment has historic charm, which I appreciate. Everything we needed was there, except for some sort of soap or body wash for the shower. Checking in and out could be inconvenient, as Claude needs to be present to deliver and receive keys back. That helped explaining how the outer door locks and unlocks and explaining where the parking spot is. The spot is a little distance away, but considering how hard it is to find an open spot in that area, I’m grateful it was available.Claude was very gracious and the welcoming bottle of sparkling wine was so nice.

Perfect spot for exploring the Loire Valley with family

We spent a week here in early July, exploring the chateaus of the Loire Valley. It was lovely - the apartment offered everything we needed.

Amboise stay

The location was perfect. We could walk everywhere in town. As americans we had some difficulty finding the parking spot..those are places people from the midwest don't think are places we can drive! But we were greatful to have a designated spot for our trips to the chateaus.

Charming apartment in perfect location.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay here. Claude is a very accommodating host. The apartment has plenty of old world character but has also been updated to a high level of comfort. We were able to walk to many shops, restaurants and sights including the castle. We would definitely return if we are in Amblise again.

An excellent experience

Staying at this charming attic apartment was an excellent experience. The lodging is clean, nicely furnished and had everything we needed. It was cozy and warm during our winter stay. An added plus is a dedicated parking spot close by. The apartment is located just below the chateau and a block from the pedestrian area with great restaurants and shops. The view of the chateau at night was wonderful. Don’t miss the Friday and Sunday markets by the river. Our host was very accommodating and has good maps and guides in the apartment. We highly recommend using Amboise as your home base when visiting the chateaux and wineries of the region.

Super convenient to everything in Amboise

Very nice, charming apartment in a historic building, but modern amenities. The location is extremely close to the tourist attractions that Amboise offers (chateau, shopping, restaurants all 1-5 minutes on foot). Highly recommend!

We loved the attic of Orange! There was plenty of for our family of 5. The apartment had everything we needed. The manager was kind, and helped us with everything we needed, and all items were high quality and charming. The parking option was what we needed. The location was excellent. We could easily walk to Amboise castle and shopping. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful grenier in Amboise

This is a spacious and charmingly appointed attic apartment in the heart of the old city of Amboise very near the Chateau. It is well equipped with anything one might need. The host is friendly, helpful and very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Adorable, spotless, well-appointed apartment a couple short blocks from Amboise Castle. You can see the castle from the window! Host especially warm and welcoming. Parking is a few blocks away in a private lot.

Fantastic Host & Accommodations!

We are grateful to have had the pleasure of booking with a Super host of a Super property. The property is perfectly located around the corner from one of the cutest streets in Amboise. The property itself is comfortable and equipped with everything you need. What’s more, the host went above and beyond anything we ever imagined by not only picking us up at the train station, but by dropping us off for our departure. If you are looking at staying in Amboise, I highly recommend booking this property immediately!

We loved this place. Claude was amazing, driving us to and from the train station. The apartment is beautifully furnished and well supplied, and the location is unbeatable. The beds are soft, and you have to climb two flights of stairs, but we were fine with that. Great to catch up on laundry. We were a bit concerned that you couldn’t get out the front door without a key — might be a fire hazard? Overall, highly recommended. Would stay there again, and recommend it to friends.

Good location

Family of 5 enjoyed this 2 bedroom apartment, with one child sleeping on the couch. Plenty of space in apartment and kitchen well equipped for our needs. Great location for walking to bakery and restaurants. They had a cute little high chair that my 2 year old loved. Nice peek at the castle through the window too. Only a shower, no tub, wasn’t a problem for us, but I know it is for some. The parking is a bit of a walk but I think that’s just how it is in this area. We were glad to have a reserved spot.

Cozy apartment

My family and I stayed for 3 night in this apartment in Amboise and it was one our favorite for the whole trip. Everything we could need was stocked, allowing us to use a close by grocery store to cook dinner. The apartment was in walking distance to all the sights. The only thing to know about this place, to me, is that there are several flights of steps up, but the building seemed empty, so it was very quiet. The other bit was the parking space provided was a little difficult to find and in the back of a crowded space. Neither of these things would stop me from returning, it was a very comfortable place for our family to stay. Thanks!

Wonderful apartment

Three friends and I stayed at this lovely apartment for 5 nights. It is very comfortable with a modern and well equipped kitchen and bath, with lots of thoughtful touches. There is a view of the castle from a window and the apartment was right in the middle of Amboise. We had a terrific time and Elizabeth was very helpful. Furnishings are very nice and beds are comfortable. However the apartment is two flights up and the dedicated parking space is about 5 blocks away. So if people have mobility issues, this might be a problem. But for everyone else, I would recommend highly.

Close to tourist area

The property was clean . Claude was very nice. The apartment was well equipped but there were no instructions on how anything worked. The picture of the apartment was misleading as it was around the corner from the clock tower.It was great having covered parking just around the corner. There was no balcony and you could not see the road from inside so no chilling in the evening with a glass of wine watching the world go by. However a wide range of bars and restaurants were near. Our favourite is the only one serving snails as a starter. I can't remember the name of it but it's on the road at the back of the chateau about 3rd on the right. The roast Beef and Duck with Dauphan potatoes are to die for

Perfect Chateau home base!

We recently stayed at Elisabeth's Apartment in Amboise and it’s was a perfect location and stay for us. The apartment is very charming and spacious with more than enough room for our family of 4 (two adults and two children under the age of 6). Everything was very clean and tidy and the apartment was decorated really nicely. The location of the apartment was perfect to walk to the pedestrian shops in the center of Amboise (near the clock tower). It was also the perfect home base to stay at and drive to chateaus (we went to Cheverny, Chenonceau, Chinon, and Chambord). There was a boulangerie near by where we got coffee and breakfast each morning. On Sundays there is also a very nice market by the river on Sundays. The parking was a little bit hard to find at first but Elisabeth’s husband very kindly showed us where it was after we checked in. They even left a nice jar of jam and champagne for us in the refrigerator. Such wonderful hosts and a great place to stay. I would absolutely recommend staying at their apartment if you are ever in Amboise! Thank you Elisabeth! :-)

A lovely apartment in a super location

Firstly let me say that Elisabeth was a total delight to deal with in advance of our arrival, her communication was so very prompt and helpful. We didn't get to meet her on arrival unfortunately as she was away but had left us in the very capable hands of her friends Michéle and Jacky who were equally delightful and very helpful indeed. Elisabeth had very kindly left us a gift of homemade jam and a bottle of wine which we thought was both very kind of her and totally delicious. The apartment is in a super location and we were very glad of the parking even if it was a good 7 minutes walk away. Inside the apartment is delightful, beautifully appointed and very well equipped with so much thought having been invested into its design and decor. Just a couple of small points - the shower was a little dirty with a lot of mould around the base which I had to clean with bleach before we could use it and the floor (especially the kitchen) was badly in need of a wash, looking at the otherwise very good general state of the apartment, I would suspect this was an oversight on the part of the cleaner rather than Elisabeth herself. Once I had personally rectified these points all was totally fantastic. Michéle (the friend) was equally as delightful and helpful on the morning we left. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment or in fact visit again. Were it not for the shower / floor this would certainly have been a 5 star rating or 4.5 if that facility were available

Great apartment - great position

A really good apartment with all we needed for a week’s stay. Very close to the centre and all its amenities. The covered private parking is very handy in a town which is very cramped for space! If you choose your time, you can park right outside for a very reasonable parking fee. All in all, I would heartily recommend this apartment. Claude is very accommodating and responsive - a perfect host!

Vacances à Amboise

Pour qq jours de vacances nous avons choisi Amboise. L'appartement de Mr Spitz est non seulement placé idéalement : proche du château mais aussi proche des commerces de bouche comme des autres commerces. Mais il est aussi très bien équipé. On a passé 5jours excellents. On a pu faire les visites souhaitées et se reposer à l'appart chaque soir. Et Mr Spitz est un hôte accueillant et disponible.

Some time in the Loire Valley

We had a wonderful stay here. The check in was easy, Claude picked us up from the station in Amboise and his son returned us to the station on our way home. The property is close to everything.
