“Sydney, King's Cross Area”

The Diamant Hotel was very neat! I loved it. They also gave us a free room upgrade which included a great patio overlooking downtown Sydney with outdoor chairs and a table.

“This diamond is a real gem”

We were very impressed with our courtyard room. It had a huge deck overlooking the city, complete with wicker furniture. The room was very sleek and modern, and was a welcome change from the sterile name brand rooms. The staff were great and made some excellent dining & leisure recommendations. Everything about this place was perfect, and a step ahead from the two Marriott hotels in Sydney, which we also stayed at.

“great hotel AND location”

This hotel is wonderful for travellers like myself who prefer being off the main tourist track and who enjoy boutique hotels. The staff is friendly; the facilities are very well kept. The hotel is in King's Cross, literally behind the coke sign. To the right of the street corner nearest the hotel (facing the skyline) is the red light district (not unsafe, but lively), some backpacker hotels, the Kings Cross City Rail Station, several restaurants and a grocery store (located inside a small mall). To the left are cafes, nicer restaurants, unique shops, and just a little farther down, gay-active/friendly Oxford Street. In short, the hotel allows easy access to the city center but is in the heart of an area that makes you feel more like a local than a tourist!!

“Good Value”

Very contemporary and clean. Rooms are kind of dark and don't go there expecting a view. Near lots of restaurants . Good overall experience.

“Great Hotel”

Only stayed at this hotel for one night but was really impressed with the high standard of room. Very comfortable bed with large plasma TV, only thing to consider was the parking if you have a car with you. Most of the parking outside is for 1 hour until 6pm or weekends. Great location, dont need to have a car to get around Sydney but we were touring the east coast after staying here. Would highly recommend this hotel to all :-)

“It's as convenient as you would want it to be.”

The hotel is in a very convenient location. It's near restaurants, the hop-on, hop-off buses, and even a shuttle that operates to the airport from around the block. It's about a half-hour walk to the Opera house, and circular quay, the places to hang around. The staff is super helpful, and would attend to my request. There is also a travel agency nearby, if you needed to add a last minute tour of any place local or international -. what more could one want.

“Sydney's Diamant in the rough”

This hotel was such a great find. It was recently renovated with modern fixtures and furnishings. Very, very clean. The staff were extremely customer service oriented and were very accomodating with our last minute request for early check-in. The 24/7 concierge was also very knowlegable and helpful. The attached restaurant was convenient for meals. I can only comment on their breakfast which was excellent.

“Good, contemporary boutique hotel”

Only complaint was that the lighting in the bath area and even the mirrored-dresser area in the room was insufficient. One couple in our group noticed a musty smell in the room they were given at check-in, but the staff swiftly acted to upgrade them to a suite with corner views on a higher floor. They were quite happy with their new room.
