“Excellent quality and value for money”
Fantastic location - comfortable room - very reasonably priced. Highly recommended
“Handy in Sydney”
Comfortable and value
“Good value down town Sydney”
Ideally situated for night out in town. Clean facilities, very comfortable, extra bed had been provided for small extra cost, Nice staff and handy to everywhere.
“Noisy trucks”
This hotel is in a great location and we had stayed here before without any problems, but this time we found the noise from the trucks (both delivery and garbage at 2-3am and then again at 5am on Thu & Fri) to be unbearable (Saturday night was better). We ended up getting ear plugs which helped a little. The hotel is double glazing the windows but the have only done the 1st floor so far. Our friends stayed on the 1st floor, but said they could still hear the trucks. So, a great location, but not on a Thu/Fri night.
“Handy and central”
Hotel was very large and comfortable and very clean. But was in side alley and the noise from rubbish trucks early in morning was a bit much..........
“great location and friendly staff”
Set in the centre of Sydney, at Martin Place, we could walk to everything we wanted to see, or catch public transport. Staff lovely. Would really recommend this apartment/hotel: had friends in our apartment for dinner(6), with extra glasses, plates and cutlery supplied to assist, and food delivered from mobile cuisine: allow 60 minutes for delivery. Lovely night. No view, but only 5 minutes to the harbour...
“Great Location in Central Sydney”
The Medina Classic at Martin Place was a great choice for our 4 night stay in Sydney. Located midway between central city and Circular Quay provided easy access in both directions. Great to have full kitchen facilities - saves on constantly buying meals out - we found a Coles store with reasonable priced groceries. Plenty of transport almost out front, free city bus and rail station. Recommend a weekly combined rail/bus/ferry pass for those staying 4 - 7 days. Saves lots of time and very convenient and cost effective. Hotel is down a laneway, so don't expect a view, but price and proximity to everything more than compensates.
“Convenient”
My husband and I recently traveled to Sydney for just a short time and we wanted a hotel that was convenient, affordable and had at least a fridge. This hotel met our expectations. Couple things to note: 1. Yes - it is down what looks like an alley. But we did not find it all that disconcerning. The overall area was well maintained, even if the view out our window was not spectacular (say hello to office buildings!) 2. This is a "no-frills" type of place. If you want luxury, stay someplace else. If you want functional and affordable, sign on up. 3. If you want good food, but are exhausted and don't want to walk (or it's raining), take a Right when you step outside and go next door to the Japanese restuarant. **You'll almost need to make a reservation (booking)** Do that before you head out for a day on the town. 4. If you continue to the right and make a turn at what Looks like the dead-end, you will see a magic shop. Go Past it and you will find yourself on Pitt - which to the left has Lots of shopping options and will take you right to the monorail stop and to the right will take you right to the harbour. 5. If you book the airport trasportation, (and this is my #1 complaint) you have to haul your own luggage about 50 yards up Hosking's narrow sidewalk to Castlereaugh. Like I said above, if you want fancy, go somplace else, but if you just need a place to crash at night after taking in the sights and sounds of the city, then you will probably be just fine here!
“Biennale Classic”
A great place to stay..absolutely central for the Biennale of Sydney
“Will stay here again”
Good value and well located one-half block from to St. Martins Place in central business district. QVB and department stores three blocks away. Five blocks to Ferry terminal, (Circular Quay) and opera house. Comfortable/clean apartment with well appointed kitchen, dishwasher, etc. Pleasant desk staff and management. Only drawback for some may be that the entrance is off street in an alley - not a problem for us. Best accommodation in my eight trips to Sydney..
