“A nice surprise.”

Great location, very convenient, and you get a 10% discount at the connected IHOP and the Benigans restaurant across the parking lot. There's a gas station to refill your rental car and it's a quick trip to San Jose airport from there. The only downside is the check-in period takes a lot of time, which is not fun after traveling all day. Other than that, it's a perfect place. We stayed there for three days, left and went to Vegas and returned, staying four more days. One of the clerks named Willie (a female) is THE BEST! She's very knowledgeable and helpful. The common room is nice too. It has five big screen tv's, two massage chairs, game boards and Wii games.

“Avatar hotle”

First off, I thought this hotel was amazing. The only reasons that I did not give it 5 stars all across the board are: 1. There were 3 people staying in a single (2 double bed) room. We only used the room to sleep in, but if we had wanted to do anything more I think we would have needed to get 2 rooms. 2. The surrounding neighborhood is fine, very quiet. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because there were not a lot of restaurants or gas stations, so we had to drive around a little bit just to find a quick bite. That being said, I loved this hotel and will happily stay there again anytime I am going up to the Bay area. I have already recommended it to all my friends & family. The staff is very courteous, the rooms were clean, the area was quiet, AND there is an IHOP attached to the main lobby... talk about convenience! The other thing that we all loved about this hotel- and I didn't see anyone talking about it on Expedia- was that it was nerd heaven! The decor of the hotel was very modern with bright colors, and the lobby was decorated with toy robots! The key cards for the rooms had little pixelated video game creatures on them, and the "Do Not Disturb" signs had Space Invaders! It's the little things like that that really make the hotel for me. So if you have a chance when you're up near the Bay, I definitely recommend staying at the Avatar. It may not be the height of luxury, but it is cozy and convenient and the best deal you'll ever find for a hotel of that caliber!

“really nice would stay again”

really nice and clean place everyone was really friendly and prompt with service there were four of us and there were a few times i had to ask for more towels there were only enough for two people each day we had room service and since we went down to the pool we needed more towels the only real complaint i would have is when i reserved the hotel i wanted a hotel with a pool and spa and contintel breakfast and they only offered pool and spa no breakfast so i settled but the pool wasnt clean and the spa didnt work so thats my only complaint but everything else was nice the rooms are real modern its like going to ikea i would go back again especially for the price.

The only issue I had was that the TV did not work. I'm certain that if I had complained louder they would have swithced my room or reimbursed me somehow. Also, walking distance to In-N-Out Burger.

good area, very comfortable beds, stylish and excellent price! Great area if you are flying out of the San Jose Airport or going to Great America! The shuttle service was excellent and we didn't mind waiting a bit for it since everyone was so nice. The decor is very cute and the staff were so helpful and nice. The price is very very good for what you are getting. The only issue I had was the lack of curtains. They only have blinds which doesn't feel private enough and doesn't keep the light out...but, again, the price is low and everything else is great so I can't complain too much about that. Loved the toy robot collection in the lobby!!! Great pool and jacuzzi! After my husband flew out, my daughter and I stayed an extra day to go to Great America. The shuttle took us and the picked us up. We came back had a big meal at the connecting IHOP, relaxed in the jacuzzi and then slept well in the comfortable bed! Wasn't expecting such a nice time! We plan to go back!
