“Very trendy, modern, centrally located hotel”

The staff was great. The roof-top pool was very cool (although we did wait 30 minutes for our drinks). Restaurants & shopping are all walking distance.

“Young Hip Crowd in Heart of Gaslamp District”

The room was clean and comfortable, the crowd was young and hip, and the location was right on 5th in the Heart of San Diego's Gaslamp District. A block from Petco Park and a short walk to pretty much anywhere in downtown San Diego, it's a perfect alternative to a weekend away in Vegas.

“Great time. Great hotel.”

Couldn't have had a better time anywhere. Great location. Great City. Restaurants and bars as far as you can walk. Trolley transportation steps from the hotel. The staff was helpful and cheerful from morning to night. Looking forward to coming back...

“Very Impressed”

From the moment we walked in we until we checked out, we were very happy with the overall stay. The atmosphere was very cool. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. I loved the Aveda shower products. It was within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again and reccomend for anyone to stay here.

“Rock N Roll”

I went with my girlfriend for the weekend, and we had a great time. The room was awesome, and the view of the pool made it even better. The location perfect right in the middle of the gaslamp district, andwe roamed around the neighborhood for some sightseeing, but spent most of out time at the hotel since there was so much to do there. We ate dinner at Nobu, then went to the Sweetwater Saloon and finally upstairs to Moonstone Lounge. We had a great time at both clubs. Amazingly we were able to wake up at a reasonable time and went out to the pool and the weather was perfect. Finally we made it to Maryjane's for a late breakfast and enjoyed the dj's music along with some great pancakes. During our stay we had to ask the concierge a few questions about what to do during our stay and she was always very, if not overly and unexpectedly, helpful. If you're looking for a good time in SD, and want to be in god hands, this is certainly the place to go.

“Wish I could has stay longer!”

This place was great! All of the hotel service was wonderful and very helpful. The hotel is in the heart of gaslamp district, if you don't want to walk across the street is a trolly station. All round, great stay, can't wait to spend another weekend with my hubby there.

“Great place to stay in San Diego”

Arrived without a reservation because my early morning flight was cancelled and they couldn't get me out til the next day unless I took a 10pm flight that would get me home around 2am- no thanks. There was a baseball game going on so lots of activity around the hotel- fun. But the room was quiet, close to the airport and got an Expedia rate! Would definitely stay again.

“loved it but...”

the hard rock san diego is such a gorgeous place. been there a few times for their rooftop bar and pool and this was the first time staying there. everything was perfect with the room EXCEPT the shot glass measurement thingy that came with the room still had pink lipstick on it from a previous guest. my party and i were totally grossed out, but it didn't ruin the evening, thank goodness. other than that, it was a great trip and we're looking forward to going back soon...and checking the room for any leftover souvenirs from past guests :)
