“Good Hotel”
We were very happy with our stay at Econo Lodge at Carlsbad. The room was clean, very well lit, lots of outlets to charge all our electronics and liked the free Wi-Fi. The kids loved the waffle maker for breakfast. The customer service was very friendly and knew who I was when I checked in and let us choose our room (upstairs or downstairs). I liked that we could park in front of our room and the drive to Legoland was close. The freeway noise didn't bother us since we are heavy sleepers and we could barely hear it when the AC was on. I would go back again if we were to go back to that area.
“Very nice and comfortable!”
The whole experience is really good. We are very much comfortable and satisfied in our stay at the hotel. It was clean and the price is good enough for a place like home. Willing to go back again in this place.
“Mre like a condo than a hotel”
We had our family trip to Legoland and we chose to stay here. We were surprised with the size of the room, very spaciaous. And the one thing I noticed was how un-hotel like our room was. No cheesy lamps or stale smell, it was more like a condo. Granite counter tops, flat screen TV (4 HBO movie channels), mini fridge w/ freezer, microwave, reccessed lighting, pleanty of poweroutlets for our digital stuff, spotless bathroom and large shower (I'm a big guy) brand new desk chair and a super comfy bed. The only negative about the room was the extra blanket, it had burn holes in it. At night the pool was well light, and we didn't have any probles with the freeway sound everyone seems to complain about. The breakfast was good; fruit, bread, muffins, cereals, juices, eggs, waffels. Plus an employee was stationed there to help and continually refill items. The location was just right for Legolad as well, it one exit north of Legoland (5 min drive). The staff was super friendly and constantly seen cleaning and upkeeping the grounds. For the price, location and quality it can not be beat. We'll definetly be going back.
“Great deal for the money.”
This was a great deal for the money. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was excellent, and the staff was personable and courteous. The room had everything I needed, although an in-room coffee maker would have been nice. I would certainly stay here again.
“Nice Place”
We were pleasantly surprised by the room. The staff was nice. It is very very close to Legoland.
“Fantastic Beds!”
Fantastic beds! The beds were super comfy - they felt like the beds at the Hilton. The breakfast was very standard and included a waffle maker. The rooms were very updated and clean. There was some noise from the nearby freeway but this might be why the rate was so much less than other similar quality hotels in the area. It was not loud enough to keep us away and the drone of the AC was enough to drown it all out. Overall the room and stay was very good. We just needed a place to sleep for the night and this hotel fit the bill perfectly.
“It lived up to the reviews...”
I was very satisfied with our experience. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the waffles in the continental breakfast. Great place for the money.
“Come for LegoLand, stay for the motel!”
Our stay was for 4 nights, beginning on a Wednesday. We had a late check-in (11pm) And the staff member, Hannah, was very pleasant and professional. The room we were assigned had been recently updated. Linens were clean and plentiful. Carpet and tile areas were clean. Locks were secure, which was important since it was 2 women staying together and the hotel is right off of the freeway. TV worked and so did the remote. WiFi access was free and secured with password. Breakfast was good. Nice selection for the price and the food was fresh. Attendant was available to make sure area was cleaned. Although the weather was too cool for swimming, we did check it out. The swimming area was clean and safe. There were vending machines and ice machines (clean!) available 24x7. Parking lot was clean and tidy and recently paved and lined. All public area were well-lit. Steps were well-lit and safe handrailings were available. Families that were staying there seemed pleased with their accomodations. As were the people that were staying for business.

This Hotel is very nice. Close to the 5 and plenty of shopping all around.
“Perfect”
Enjoyed our stay. Loved that it had a breakfast room, but wished it had a coffee pot in the room too. Very clean and large room. Will go stay again as it is close to family.
