“Excellent option in Rome”
Hotel Artemide is an excellent option in Rome. I would stay there again. The location is excellent. The hotel restaurant provides good options. The roof top bar is a great meeting place, with good wine and cocktail options. The only issue was the heat in the room. The temperature is controlled by the hotel so it tends to get hot in the evenings. The issue was resolved with opening the windows and a fan that was provided by the hotel. Overall a great stay!.
“The only place I would stay at in Rome...”
I researched hotels in Rome for months prior to my honeymoon and settled on the Artemide. It was a better choice once we arrived. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were nice sized (for European standards). The bathrooms were large and spotless and they offered an extensive array of toiletries for no cost. Since it was our honeymoon, when we arrived they had left us a bottle of Champagne in the room with chocolates. A very nice touch. The room also had a mini bar that was re-stocked daily with soday, beer, fruit juice and water. We walked everywhere so the waters came in handy every day. Speaking of walking, the hotels location cannot be any more perfect. There is an M station within 5 minutes, Termini train station within 10, and literally you can walk 20 minutes in any direction and be at all of the major sites. This saved us a ton of money since we didnt have to cab it anywhere. With such convenience to the subway, if we needed to get somewhere quickly, we just hopped on it for 1 euro. They hotel also had a rooftop terrace that we visited twice. It was November but they had space heaters out there for use to stay warm. The view was great and you can see St. Peters in the distance. They also gave us a 50% off voucher for the resturant, and in my opinion, was the best meal we had all week (get the filet since you have a discount). The Hotel Artemide exceeded my expectations for our stay. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone reading this review. Ciao!!
“Five star hotel!!!”
we expected so much from this hotel because of the many excellent reviews. Truly, it didn't disappoint! the Hotel is close to everything; the american breakfast buffet was hearty! the mini bar in our room was stocked daily. we travelled with our two year old, so having snacks in our room at all times was very helpful. the staff are very nice and caring -- they provided milk for us by the liter for free :-) we'll definitely come back to this hotel, two thumbs up! ... very much recommended to friends, family, and everyone who are planning to travel to Rome.
“Would definitely go back”
Extremely friendly and helpful staff who were patient with us all the times showing us were to go and what to do in Rome. The Hotel is clean and offers everything one would need in a hotel. It is conveniently located and close to all the shopping and points of interest. The hotel had a full breakfast buffet, and the food was plentiful and of excellent quality and taste.
“Very nice but can be noisy”
The hotel and their staff are top notch. The only thing to be careful about a good night sleep is rooms on the front of the hotel are on a busy street and the windows are not tight so the street noise comes in.
“The place to stay in Rome”
This is a classy hotel, perfectly situated for touring the ancient sites. Beds were comfortable and the room was a reasonably generous size for a European hotel. Good breakfast buffet selection--fruit was fresh and the breads and pastry excellent.. There were other nice extras such as a free mini bar (snacks, bottled waters, soft drinks and juice). We also found the staff very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
“Good facilities, great location and very friendly staff”
Staff were ultra-friendly, breakfast and restaurant facilities were superb, and the free mini-bar was an added bonus - supplying water and snacks for those long days of sight-seeing. Hotel was less than five minutes walk from the Metro and major bus/train facilities, and within twenty minutes walk of Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. We would certainly recommmend this hotel to family and friends, and will definitely book there again if we ever returen to Rome.
“Great Service and Clean room”
I am very surprised of how great the Artemide Hotel was considering the price that I paid for it. My friend and I stay there because his mother had stayed there while visiting Rome and had a wonder experience, as did we. We were greeted with big smiles when we arrived. The front desk was super nice. When I first book this I thought we had breakfast included but it turns out we didn't (make sure to double check it if you want it or not when you're booking). It turns out that wasn't a big deal because we never adjusted to the time difference and always woke up way past breakfast time. The room was a tad small but was very clean and we had a plate of fresh fruit on the table. The bathroom was super clean and maintained very well. Whenever we had questions the front desk was always nice to help out. They gave us maps of the area and the metro lines. We had book a tour on a Monday and wanted to see if we can move it to Tuesday and the night time personal called for us and changed it to Tuesday (such a nice man). The street we stayed on was nice, there were a lot of clothing shops but we weren't in the middle of a huge tourist attraction. Words of advice, bring comfy shoes and don't be an idiot and wear heels on cobble stone streets (not cute). Also it wasn't far from the metro lines and train lines to take to Florence, Milan and other regions(10 min walk). Also 20 min walk away from the Colosseum. Staff was awesome and always willing to help.
“Modern and Clean”
We were very happy when we got to the hotel after a long flight. They were very helpful. Our only dissatisfaction was with the room we were given, it was tiny and only one thin window, trying to put the card in the slot to get the lights on was difficult, We didn't complain, as we were only staying one night. We would return but definately would request a larger room.
“Oct 2011, "not impressed"”
Not good value for money, generally a good hotel in a perfect location for shopping but there are other hotels around the city with similar/ lower prices but with much better quality. Small and always crowded reception. Average room/breacfast. Entrance/reception below expectations
