“Great Trip.”

I got this hotel through the unlisted price and was very satisfied. The room was very large and the beds were comfortable. The room had a desk, table and two chairs which made eating room service from the attached Perkins very enjoyable. The room was very clean and was maintained everyday. The staff was very friendly and helpful, in fact, everyone in South Dakota was friendly. One of the friendliest American cities I have travelled to. The only negative I have about the hotel was their television sets and carpet are outdated, they have Perkins available for room service but did not have a menu in the room and the menu they provided for the Papa Johns Pizza gives you the phone number for the wrong location. All very minor problems. Overall it was a great trip. South Dakota is a beautiful state with very friendly and helpful people. I wish I had more time there.

Rooms were very nice, clean and quite. Beds were very comfortable. Restraunt on site good food and service. Would stay agian!

Nice hotel with a good off season rate. Friendly staff. Nice room. Better light over the desk would have been nice.

i have stayed there before and liked it very much. it is very clean . the staff is very helpful and the lounge is very convienient. haven't been in the pool yet ,but it looks like the kids were enjoying themselves

The service was great and the location is excellent! This hotel was better than we expected. We have already made a reservation to come back.

“Great place to stay”

This was a great place to stay. The room was very relaxing. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. There is a game room with a sitting area, toddler play area, small pool with a large waterslide that was always fun at the end of the day. This room also had pool table (there was a charge for the pool table and video games). We stayed here for our entire vacation and it was central to absolutely everything. Originally we thought of spending a night closer to the Badlands but read a review that said it would be nicer to stay in Rapid City and take a trip to the Badlands...this is true. This time of year is off-season and not everything is open but there is still plenty to do....and less crowded. We had a lovely, relaxing trip. p.s. for a child the "hotel" is always the best place and our 10 year old said the best part of his trip was the hotel. However it was still a quiet and relaxing place to be...probably because they kept the kids busy with the pool and game room.

“Grand time at the Grand Gateway”

Very nice hotel especially for families. It has an indoor water slide and pool for kids. They had only one ice machine for the entire hotel but everything else was first class.

Was an awesome hotel. Very good rate, very clean, peacefull evening with no problems. The way a hotel should be. Any one staying in Rapid City SD . I hightly recommend this place..
