“503 was a GREAT room!”
We would highly recommend this hotel. Our room (Rm 503) was stylish with a pink feature wall and nice black and gold furniture. The bathroom was clean and modern. The room is smallish but was certainly big enough to suit our needs. Elysa is right next to Luxemberg station which is accessible by both the RER and Metro train systems. It is right on the RER train line from the airport. During our stay in Paris, we also stayed at a 4-star hotel in the Eiffel District during our stay in Paris but we thought Elysa was infinitely better than the 4-star hotel in terms of both location and quality of the hotel.
“excellent location”
ideally situated in an excellent location with all amenities. the hotel is clean. the room is big. the staff is not very nice, but help you. It is preferable to have breakfast in the bars there that are very good.
“Perfect Paris”
A well located hotel in the fifth precinct of Paris. Many good restaurants nearby and many beautiful Parisian women. Close to transport.
“Room 604 is the one to get”
I advised that we would have a late check in and it seemed to create a bit of confusion when we did get there. The room was quite small with old furnishings and the bath, while somewhat remodeled and small, had no place to attach the the hand held shower device ( Every annoying) Also the flower box was merely dirt and dry sticks (all window boxes across the road were blooming with great geraniums) the Manager was notified and merely argued until we asked to have the dirt filled planted remove it. I personally went down stairs to the florist and purchased a potted geranium to hang from the window. Finally All ended wonderfully as the gal at the desk changed our room to 604, after some discussion about what was depicted on the website. Great view including the Eiffel Tower and a decent bathroom. Oh we had a flat screen tv but programing was iffy. but really there is no time for TV with so much going on outdoors. It was cool that there was daylight until 9:30 PM
“A fine hotel in a great location!”
We are from the US and stayed in a triple (two adults and a 10 year old). Although initially, we were disappointed in the size of the room (a little cramped with a queen bed and a twin bed) and the very small elevator, the positives outweighed the negatives. The room was very clean and maid service efficient. The queen sized bed was very comfortable - the twin less so. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat. It is within walking distance to the Pantheon, Sorbonne, Jardin du Luxembourg (across the street), Notre Dame, Museum Cluny and even the Louvre and Museum d'Orsay for a longer stroll. Also right across the street from a metro station. The heart of the Latin quarter for the variety of restaurants was close by. The best aspect of the location was that it was accessible to the best parts of Paris, yet on a quiet street. The hotel itself was very quiet. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
“Conveniently situated Hotel Elysa Luxembourg”
This hotel is really well situated close to the Luxembourg RER station, from which direct trains run to the Gare du Nord and Charles de Gaulle airport. We did not pay for breakfasts as there were many cafes nearby. This hotel is convenient for getting into central Paris. Room 404 was nicely renovated with Egyptian motifs on the wall. Free wifi internet was provided. Just around the corner was a jazz cafe. Just a few minutes walk across the road were the Luxembourg Gardens.
“A good location”
Hotel was OK but rooms small and not much service. Location was good close to station, convenient for the airports and some good walks.
“Noisy but Nice”
The hotel staff was very nice and the room was comfortable once we figured out how to turn down the A/C (which was great to have since Paris was 95 degrees). It was noisy due to the location being on a busy street but the A/C allowed us to close the windows and cut the noise. Great location for metro access and access to the Gardens Luxembourg. For the price I would recommend to book early and try to get closer to Notre Dame or Eiffel Tower but if not possible, then this is a fine choice of a hotel in Paris.
“May in Paris”
The location of this hotel is perfect, you can walk to most of the Paris attractions and there are great restaurants close by. However the room was disappointing for the price and the day receptionist didn't seem pleased to receive guests which odd given her job is to greet and check in guests! I would definitely stay in the area again but would shop around for other hotels.
