"Welcome was average, just going through the motions. Club room was furnished with some taste, although a bit of wear was showing on furniture. Bathroom fan not working, which drives me mad but I’ve given up complaining to any hotel as it’s so common. I know these things burn out easily when lights are left on permanently so it’s an occupational hazard for the hotels; I do sympathise a little. Bed very comfortable; good nights sleep and great views of the bridge. Didn’t eat breakfast as I travel...

"Arrived by train and the hotel was just a few minutes walk away. The guy who checked us in was super friendly and efficient. The rooms were newly refurbished, fresh and clean. The standard room offered bath robes and slippers which was a nice touch as you don’t usually get those in a standard room. Great value and we would definitely stay again."

"The staff were very helpful, making sure that i had a downstairs room because of mobility issues (the lift was out of service)."

"The plus was free parking, within walking distance of city centre, provided you ordered and paid for breakfast the night before, it provided good value for money, and quality bathroom towels. Hotel is aged and rooms would benefit from a 'face lift'. Happy to recommend."
