“Great as usual, simple clean classic accomadations”

My only dislike was the fact that I arrived on a very humid and hot day, (Not the hotels fault), when I arrived everything was FAST efficient and friendly. After I got to my room however, there was no AIR Conditioning. Since I was only dropping my luggage in the room and heading out right away, it wasn't a problem. Upon leaving the hotel to head to Chinatown, I did advise the front desk, and upon return later that evening, the room was a cool 69 degrees. So, the A/C was fixed promptly. Other than that, everything was taken care of and room was as usual clean, neat and very livable. The bed had a padded pillow top mattress, a bit uncomfortable for me, because my mattress at home is very firm. But I can live with it. The room was cleaned every day and kept fresh. The hotel staff was friendly and checked for room key everytime I entered the building. Great security. I like the New Yorker Hotel and it is in the middle of everything. Close to Bus, Subways, Macy*s, Times Square and the Theatre district. The north bus, stops directly across the street, and takes you almost anywhere. From Times Square, to Columbus Circle, to Central Park and Lincoln Center and the Museum of Natural History. Walk 1 block east and you can get anywhere downtown too. Right at 34th Street, gives you easy east/west access to connecting routes. The Subway in right below the hotel, so that's close too.

“Great Hotel in Convenient Location”

The room was nice, neat and clean. The staff were very helpful and polite. Being able to leave our suitcases on the day we checked out for only $1 each was very useful and allowed us to have one more day in New York without having to drag luggage around with us. The location was great and we often walked rather than having to take any transport. There is a tour bus stop just around the corner. We could see the Empire State Building from our room and one morning looked down to the street below to see hundreds of Santas taking part in the "Santacon" gathering before setting off with thousands of others across the city.

“would definitely stay again”

Absolutely loved this hotel! The room was small but decorated so nicely and kept clean. The location was perfect - subway stop just outside the door and within walking distance to some good places. Hotel staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

“Excellent Location for the Price”

Very Nice Hotel. The rooms were a little small. However, it's NYC... Great Place to stay and close to the Gardens. I plan on staying again in March.

“An amazing Xmas break”

Well ... I wont make this long because I have nothing bad at all to say about this hotel or our stay in New York. It was absolutley amazing. Our room was small but really well maintained and decorated and are bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home!! People moaining about the room make me laugh because you only go to your room for a sleep as you are that tierd form walking all day!! Staff were lovely (on a hello and goodbye basis as they just left us to enjoy our holiday). It is amazingly central. You have Macy's (2mins walk to the left) Maddison Sq Garden (2mins walk to the right) Times Sq (5-6mins walk could be 10 depending on how slow you walk) Port Authority (bus station that takes you to Woodbury Common, 1min walk) Woodbury Common is an outlet village that sells clothes and if you are going for a BIG shopping trip then this is your place..It is cheap as chips (Armani boots 15pounds)!!! hundreds of designer shops there..and Juicy couture is amazingly cheap too! Overall it is an amazing stay and I promise you that you will love it!!!

“Best location”

The New Yorker, beyond just being a nice hotel to stay at is also at one of the best locations. Penn Station is one block away and connects up with all other major rail roads and the NYC subway system. For touring, the Empire State Building is about 2-4 blocks away.

“It was GREAT!”

Location is great-close to Penn Station. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, plenty of room, and we had TWO bathrooms!! which has never happened to me before and it was NYC!! Go figure.

“Great hotel and great price!”

We were beyond satisfied with this hotel. Excellent staff and service. 24 hour diner in hotel has great food & super convenient. Based on our NYC tasks, location was awesome, especially with subway right outside the door! Will most definitely return ASAP!
