“Already a returning customer.”

Block and a half from Times Square, quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Easy distance to 5th Av shops. Or Central park. Close to the subway to get all over Manhatten. Staff helpful and friendly, from the doorman to the receptionists to the cleaners. This was my second stay here, and would have been my third if it weren't booked out in my previous trip. That's how impressed I was - I'd happily go back myself and therefore easily recommend it to others. Only one negative - the iHome docking radio didn't work with my iPhone 4S. But I had another means to charge it anway.

“Great location - excellent staff!”

The front desk staff and the concierge, especially, were very helpful in recommending restaurants and lounges/clubs to frequent. All staff were very nice and polite. Excellent location. Clean, tidy rooms. No view and rooms were small; however, the location made up for the lack of space and view. The bathrooms were updated and large. Would return to this hotel in the future. Pleasant, enjoyable hotel. Highly recommended.

“Exceeded Expectations”

The staff was exceptionally attentive, particularly the doorman/bellman (Bill) who from the minute we stepped in the hotel extended us a warm smile every time we saw him and asked about anything special he could do for us. His follow through was impeccable and his genuine nature shined through in everything he did whether it was getting us a taxi or passing on knowledge about restaurants. Very informed, experienced and competent. The concierge - Vanessa - was equally exceptional in the prompt service she provided, her accurate recommendations and her smiles greeting us in the lobby and even over the phone, Again, knowledgeable and went out of her way to provide the information and service we requested. The beds were very comfortable and the Deluxe suite we had on Sunday night an unexpected treat — two rooms, nicely appointed, very comfortable furniture and beds — the main room perfect to watch the Super Bowl in.

“A great hotel in a great location”

The hotel was all around a great place and a good deal at the Expedia price. The only thing that could use improvement was the help at the front desk but everyone was very friendly.

“Excellent location, great room and service”

We had a 5 night stay at the Iroquois and had initially booked a Queen room. However, upon arrival I (perhaps cheekily!) asked if we could be upgraded and we got a King room for an extra $30 a night (which was well worth it). The staff at the hotel were all excellent, from the front desk to the concierge to the bell man to the door man, all very polite and helpful (which is NOT the norm for New York!!). The room itself was nice and spacious, good sized flat screen TV, very comfortable king sized bed, good sized bathroom, all very clean. The view not so great but was still quite light. Two things made me realise this hotel was brilliant. The first was when room service delivered a free bottle of wine to our room as it was my girlfriend's birthday (which I had mentioned on check in). The second was one night when my other half and I came back and we'd stopped at a little place to get a cup of tea to take back. When we got back there was no tea bag in the cup, just hot water and milk!! So I went down to reception and the lady there was all too apologetic even though it wasn't from the hotel! She then went and got us a couple of tea bags for no charge, bless her! Overall this was a very, very pleasant stay. The location is fantastic, literally 1 and a half blocks from Times Square and half a block from 5th Avenue. We didn't have any food there (it was a tad pricey) but it all looked pretty good. There was also free wireless internet there too. Definitely recommend this hotel!

“Sweet Gem in MidTown”

I found the best hotel in NYC. If you want a quiet oasis -- three blocks away from Times Square and Broadway -- this is the place. Fifth Avenue is another 4 blocks away, so great central location. Staff was wonderful and the room was just right. Would highly recommend for business travel or for a couple get-away. Not good for kids, but that is just fine by me!

“Great place to stay in NYC - will return to this hotel”

I have stayed at a number of hotels in NYC and this was one that I will return to. The rooms are nice and good size for NYC. We were there during the days of 100+ degrees and it was nice to be able to go back to a comfortable room. I loved the linens and the bath products. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. One day I stopped at the front desk on my way to my room and asked for ice to be sent up and the waiter walked up to the door as I took out my key! The turn down service with the chocolate on the pillow was something to look forward to after a busy day. The free internet access and access to a pc and printer was a nice perk.

“I'll definitely return”

Excellent location. Nice staff. Rooms sort of small but pretty comfortable. Mattress and pillows of outstanding quality. Ask for a room with a view,
