“Great hotel, great service, great location”

We stayed with our 2 children over Valentine's weekend. The hotel is in a great location -- easy to get to the trains and easy to walk to Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, etc. There are also many small cafes and a drug store close by to keep the cost of food down. And, Smith and Wollensky is a few blocks away for a nice dinner if interested. The hotel also brought us a refrigerator to help keep milk, etc for the kids. Overall, we had a great stay, and will stay there again!

“Excellent value for safe, central location”

We had booked for a family of five ( double queen room with sofa bed) and when we turned up the hotel had some difficulty coming up with the promised configuration - the ( extremely pleasant) desk staff told us that their rooms housed a maximum of four people. However, two double beds and a sofa bed were eventually found and we were delighted with the standard of the accommodation - roomy even for a family of three adults and two children ( grandad, granny, mum and kids). The beds were clean and very comfortable and the bathroom was perfectly adequate with a good supply of decent sized towels. Concierge and bell boy were both extremely helpful with tips about local diners ( we liked the Madison on 53rd and 1st best for breakfast) and competitive rates for a people mover to JFK. Excellent location for sightseeing and no problem walking the streets even late at night ( My children and I walked back from Times Square at midnight and felt perfectly safe). All in all, for a family holiday - the hotel may lack indivduality/romance for special occasions - it's a hard deal to beat.

“Great Hotel”

The desk clerk let us check-in early without requesting ahead of time. The room was a good size & was so clean it smelled clean. The beds were very comfortable. The restaurant has a nice breakfast buffet. The waitress was wonderful. Nice touches too, like real coffee mugs in the room. You can even get free coffee on the 12th floor.

“We will stay again.”

We pre-requested a cot and a high-floor - we got the top floor with a great room, cot, and a fridge when they realised we needed to keep baby milk cool. Free internet access from the double queen room we had, worked - not always the case with hotels. Laundry on the 21st floor was clean and easy to use - the hotel provided complementary washing powder. Handy location with 24x7 foodshops near by, and subway on the same block as the hotel. Access to all of Manhattan was easy from here.
