excellent place, quiet and secluded. no crowds or rowdiness. great place for quiet relaxation, and great location on south beach art deco area. this is not a hotel, but a private condo, so don't expect room service and amenities, but overall a great place to stay if you appreciate luxury. front desk was very helpful and accommodating. there is full-time security and access is for guests only. rooftop pool was very enjoyable. would definitely recommend.

“Spring break stay March 2012”

Loved this place and cant wait to go back! Hopefully they email specials :) The only thing that bothered me was that the room we had didn't have any kind of view from the 2nd floor except for a the buildings and the patio had no patio furniture which I felt would of compensated for the lack of view. Being our room was right on Collins it was very quite. Close to all and very great location! Staff was wonderful and even accommodated our late checkout of 1pm being we had a late nite flight.Great job Boulan!!

“South Beach's New Hidden Secret”

So I stayed in south beach from December 2-5, 2011 for my birthday and for the Art Basel weekend. The Boulan was everything we thought, expected and realized. From the dramatic entrance to the well manicured hallways and courtyard, the Boulan has it all. Rooftop pool with amazing views, courteous staff and crew and simply a high-end establishment. All rooms are suites with two bathrooms and a balcony. The place was simply amazing. My only complaint is that at the time of check in, you have to sign an agreement that requires you to checkout at 10:00 a.m. This policy should change. We all know that standard check out time is 12 noon. Other than that, the Boulan is paradise.

“Stylish and comfortable”

We stayed at Boudan for one night only but thoroughly enjoyed our double room with a terrace. Loved the room interior – stylish and comfortable. The apartment has everything one needs: an ironing board, a washing machine , a dishwasher, cutlery, a fridge, an oven, etc. The only things missing would be a microwave and a teapot (there is a coffee-maker though). There is a very nice pool on the top floor, and the beach is just across the road (3mins). The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is work in progress with building works going on on on the ground floor. But this didn’t have any impact on our short stay which was utterly comfortable and enjoyable.

“WOW! Couldn't believe it...”

I was pleasantly surprised to find out this is not just a hotel but a condo with tons of amenities...I didn't have an average hotel type room but a FULL ONE BEDROOM with one of the best bathrooms I have ever seen...Not to mention the roof top pool that you can see all of South Beach while using the big Viking BBQ grill (for a small fee)and watching the sunset...The location is fantastic...EVERYTHING, Museum, ballet, Nightclubs, hot restaurants, and a private beach set up just steps outside the front door...I will not stay anywhere else when I head on down...AMAZING!

“Best kept secret in South Beach”

I have to admit I had to fight with myself to write this review. I was torn between my personal desire to keep this building all to myself and my more humanity-oriented self to share it with the world. The latter showed itself the victor. I stumbled upon this condo/hotel concept while staying at a neighboring hotel in early Sept. After a brief tour of the property I promptly booked my first night to try it out. Upon check-in I noticed right away how quiet the hotel was, no large lobby with bars and screaming people, just a few guests sitting outside in the courtyard, which by the way is beautiful. My room was a full apartment, and one of the largest and nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in for the rate. Everything was state of the art, a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, and a bathroom that is larger than my condo in New York. The service is as personal as it can get, and the building is flawless both inside and out. My favorite part of the building is the private rooftop pool and hot tub. Only open to guests and residents, the pool overlooks Miami in every direction, has direct sun the entire day and has some of the best sunset views I've seen in a long time. I am a frequent traveler to South Beach, needless to say I have stayed at the Boulan every time I've come down, this will conclude my 5th stay in 3 months. Every time I visit, the hotel seems to be improving and building its reputation of, without a doubt in my mind, "the best kept secret in South Beach."

“Going Back!”

Boulan South Beach was absolutely perfect! I wish I could have stayed longer!It was almost like having my own home, with the spoiled luxeries of a hotel at my fingertips with their wonderful staff/doorman/concierege service. I utilized the gym facility daily...relaxed in my state of the art room which has one of the most luxurious bathrooms. .and then walked out of Boulans doors directly to the best area of south beach. The roof top pool was absolutely magical! I am heading back in two months with friends to the Boulan, and think this will be my new home away from home!

“Is it really a hotel?”

Well, given the price, it seemed too good to believe. But it WAS real! Really nice! I am still confused as to whether it's a hotel, a condo, a condotel, or whatever, but the biggest confusion was finding the place! Also the parking was confusing, but other than that, at this price, for the space,quietness, luxury, and location, it's unbeatable!

“Really a Gem!”

We just got back from staying in the Boulan South Beach. It is right across from the W and Setai. The rooms are half the price and 5 times the size. We had a full kitchen, separate living room, and the bathroom was so huge it was like a separate apartment. Everything was brand new inside the apartment, which was trendily furnished. Beach was right across the street, with private access for all hotel guests. Desk was extremely helpful at all times with anything I needed. The rooftop pool was perfect. I never had to wait for a chair or even a bed by the pool. Will definitely go back.
