“Great hotel if you want to be in Chelsea, otherwise a bad location”

A really nice hotel if you want to stay in the local area, otherwise you will spend a fortune on taxis as their is very little public service buses, or tube nearby. The hotel though is superb and delightful. The rooms are very generous in size and very well appointed, even down to a personal espresso maker.

Area recommendations

Chelsea, the kings road is a superb, safe area, many exclusive design stores, and close to the design center itself.

“Getaway in the middle of London”

“Nice hotel except for the WiFi fee!”

I enjoyed staying at this hotel, good service, friendly staff, and nice rooms. The only negative is the high WiFi fee of 15 pounds. WiFi is free in the lobby and bar so everyone is in the lobby on their computer, looks like a camping trip.

“Very nice hotel, difficult to get to”

The hotel is excellent and I would recommend it if staying in London with a large group or on a function, wedding or conference. But the hotel is quite badly connected and difficult to get around. You really are talking about taking cabs. There isn't always a cab around so it's a wait. Also, fees for room services are very high. Eg, it's 24pounds to use wireless internet on your own computer in your room.

“First Class Hotel in Every Way”

The Wyndham Chelsea Harbor justly desrves their 5-star rating. The staff was professional, informative, and attentive to our every need. The morning of our second day at the Wyndham spoke to me by name and I hadn't even had any interactions with him at that point. Very impressive! My wife and I ordered in-room breakfast each day. It consistently delivered exactly at the desired time and was always hot and delicious. We found the location perfect as it is a bit away from the hustle/bustle of London, but convenient to a Tesco market, ATM, above-ground train that quickly connects to the tube just a single stop away, and great neighborhood pub. Prices were very reasonable and when my wife reported an issue connecting to the wireless internet from our room the associated charge was promptly removed from our bill. We travel to London every 14 months or so and will definitely plan on making a return stay at this lovely hotel.

Area recommendations

Highly recommend the Embankment area as there is so much to do and see. Bond Street for shopping. Piccadilly area for people watching, nearby theatre district, and Chinatown.

Getting around

Whatever you do, any traveler to london must make a point to take a Black Cab ride. The cabbies are extrememly professional, knowledgable, polite, trustworthy, and conversational. The tube is very efficient, but the Black Cab is London at its finest!

“Marvelous Hotel”

Reviews and London guides have knocked the Imperial Wharf location yet we found it easy to get around via the Imperial Wharf Overground Train up to the West Brompton tube stop and then change at Earl's Court. For shopping there's a Tesco Express for papers and sodas. Great area actually. There's another express upscale grocery in the Design Centre too. We adored the hotel.

“Very impressed”

The suite is very good, hotel staff is nice and very helpful. The suite is pretty big, enough for four people. We had a good time there. The only drawback is the transportation, as the closest tube station is a good 10 min walk. But there is a overground station, and bus station is only a few minutes away. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

“Great hotel in a quiet neighborhood.”

I really enjoyed my stay at the Wyndham London at Chelsea Harbor. All the staff were fantastic. The suite was beautiful and very relaxing after a long flight. I wish I had been there longer than overnight. While it is not in the City Center it is only a short taxi ride into the center of town and there always seemed to be a taxi there when needed. I felt very pampered during my short stay, which is what you want to feel at a 5 star hotel.
