“Not Impressed”
Yes it's a place to rest your head but that's it!! Food is horrible, the free continental breakfast is cold and not fresh; and you feel crowded in this buffet style so called "dining room". If you pay quite a bit more in pounds (assuming you have the continental free breakfast), it won't be very hot either and the only thing that had flavor were the baked beans on my plate. If you happen to shop your last day there, don't go past 11 am check out time because you'll pay significantly more pounds hourly and they'll charge you regardless of your transportation arriving late, management is "strict". Oh and don't arrive prior to 2pm because they don't care if the room is ready or not and I didn't get my room until 2:15 pm, received an apology but they sure don't practice what they preach......god forbid you're 15 minutes late at check out, you still have to pay; customer service is poor. I paid a few pounds to utilize the internet for 30 minutes; after 15 minutes. I was questioned by another non British hard to understand foreign employee if I had paid to use the internet, again great customer service, makes you feel so welcomed! Bathrooms ran out of toilet paper in both the woman's and men's on two occasions. I was on the 3rd floor and there's only one shower and one toilet for men on the entire floor!! The woman's and men's bathrooms are at opposite ends of the hall. I conclude that I would save and pay more next time, not worth it!

“Nothing Special”
The price and location is good,no extras, breakfast was ok.If your looking for things to do at the hotel go else where,If you plan on just needing a place to sleep and have breakfast the Wellington will work.
“great location, average hotel”
We arrived early morning before check in after a long 22 hour flight. We were told we could use the shower facilities but the staff did not know where clean towels were kept. Rooms were very basic and without air con. We arrived in the middle of a heat wave, which this hotel is not equiped for as the rooms were stuffy and hot. Breakfast was ordinary and tables were cramped. The hotel was situated in a great, clean location and not far from metro. Bathrooms were shared but very clean. Would recommend this hotel as you get what you pay for so no complaints as it was value for money.
“Fear balance. Good price, good breakfast vs. no shower in the room .”
Nice plase for short stay. Good price, good breakfast. exselent location. Small rooms,no shower and toilet in the room a little annoing, but absolutely ok for short vacation.
“I will recommeded only because is have a great locations to London atrations.”
The staff is very friendly and nice people, the locations is brilliant but the room are small and no too clear, i really don't like the idea of sharing bathroom wich you have to do in this hotel, another thing that i did not like it was that the bed are too old and the room really too small, in the morning is a lot of light but in the evening is really scare no to much electricity so you scare to get to the hotel late, the area is seen quiet and safe but the hotel look like a school dorm for student..
“Great Value, Comfortable, GOOD BREAKFAST”
The room was simple and clean, and while going down the hall to the bathroom was inconvenient, the bathroom was clean and recently remodeled. Granted, The Wellington is only a 1-star hotel, but the courteous staff made it seem much nicer. The complimentary breakfast was amazing--delicious and bountiful!
“Don't bother”
The location is great, very central and a beautiful park area. The outside is a bit run down, and next to the other hotels right next to it, made it seem worse. The Cable didn't work, and when they couldn't fix it, and they couldn't give me a new room, they refused me a discount or to find another hotel in the area for me to compensate. They also argued about the complimentary bereakfast even though my itinerary stipulated that it was included.
“"Never go back to the Wellington Hotel"”
first of all- I have been in hostiles that were better than this and even less expensive the room was disgusting with paint pealing off the walls, the beds must be at least 10 years old and the washbasin was so small
“Dorm Life in London - Not really the stay I was hoping for...”
I'm not one to complain, but when I signed up to stay at a hotel in London, I was not looking for a converted old dormitory with public restrooms and showers for each floor, with current students still living in the hall. I guess we were looking for a value option, but had I wanted a dormitory feeling, I would have opted for the much cheaper hostel option. This hotel might as well be coded a mid-level hostel over a proper hotel. Walk to Tube station from hotel is a bit bland as well.
