“Nice little bed and breakfast about 15 minute walk from Victoria Station”

Very nice little bed and breakfast. My wife and I stayed there for one night on a quick couple days around London. The hotel is about 15 minutes away from Victoria Station and the lady at the front desk couldn't have been nicer. We had a double en suite (a room with a bed that slept two comfortably and a bathroom). The room was on the first floor, which was very nice and still very quiet.

“Just a Great Place to stay”

The hotel is absolutely immaculate. I could not even find a scuff on the walls. The owner takes a lot of pride in his building. The service was great and everyone was very helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was very good. The rooms are small which is typical of Europe but we had suffcient room to move around.The only complaint was that our phone did not work which was due to a new computer system that I'm sure will be corrected shortly

“Good option near Victoria Station - clean but definitely budget choice”

Pros -The bathroom was very clean and the shower pressure excellent. -Location was reasonably convenient and quiet, within walking distance to -Victoria Station for the underground and Gatwick Express. -Lots of outlets to charge devices Cons -Bed a bit firm with thin pillows and a stained blanket -No storage room for luggage -No in-room safe (e.g. for laptop) I also want to point out the Expedia listing has some inaccuracies - our room had neither an in-room safe nor a ceiling fan. There was a table fan which helped. Also the hot water pot on the small desk was rusted on the inside. As it is a small room there is no chair to sit if you want to read or do work. Overall an excellent budget option as London is very expensive but the only reason I would hesitate to book again is for the cons listed above.

“Firendly, clean, convenient, affordable hotel.”

Clean, greatly located, friendly, affordable, convenient hotel. I spent a weekend there to complement a business trip. I would have liked to stay there during the business portion of my stay, but unfortunately Melbourne House does not take American Express (only everything else), so I could not use my corporate credit card and had to move to a hotel down the street.

The staff listened to my travel problem and was very sympathetic. They made suggestions and helped where they could. I really appreciated it.
