“Best Hotel in London.”
We have stayed here twice & wouldn't stay anywhere else. The hotel staff are the kindest people you will ever meet. Highly recommend!
“A great choice!”
This was our first trip to London, and we had our three older children with us, too, so we reserved three rooms for a week. We were able to check-in a little early, which was extremely important to us, as we had flown all night and arrived early in the morning, well before the 3 PM check-in time. The staff was courteous, professional, very helpful and worked hard to make sure we had everything that we needed. Our only gripe - and it's a minor one - is that there is only one set of elevators and we had to walk a lot to get to our rooms. But this is a minor, minor quibble - everything was really just wonderful. The rooms were more spacious than we had expected, having heard about how small London hotel rooms were supposed to be. Room service was excellent, but the food was only average. The accomodations were wonderful - the pool was spacious and fun. The concierge went above and beyond at all times. I can't say enough what a wonderful location the hotel is in. Right by the Westminster bridge, in easy walking distance to the London Eye, Parliment and Big Ben. It was always easy to get a cab, take a tour or just walk around, enjoying all of the wonderful sights to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay and would stay there again if we visited London again. Highly, highly recommended.
“Very Nice Hotel in a gReat Area!”
Great access to everything within walking distance. Beautiful views.
“Nice hotel”
It was a nice secluded retreat from a very crowded London! Very central location for tourists and a key drop off/pick up for tour companies and hop on/off buses, so proved to be very convenient!
“Perfect location for sightseeing”
Great location for families to stay as it is close to the bus and tube routes as well as fabulous sights in easy walking distance, like Big Ben, the London Eye and Horse Guards. Lots of good places to eat at festival Hall, an easy stroll down the South Bank.
“BEST LOCATION IN LONDON!!!!!”
My husband and 2 girls, 14 & 10, traveled to London for their first time this past March 2008. The Marriott County Hall exceeded all our expectations: beautiful historic building, large spacious rooms, friendly and knowledgeable staff, amazing views of Big Ben and Parliament, located on the Thames river walk beside the London Eye, easy walk to Covent Garden area......the list goes on! We would recommend this hotel to our family and friends and we would definitely return!
“Wish we never had to leave!”
We had a wonderful stay at the County Hall Marriott. The hotel is fabulous and the location just caps it off!
“london 2010”
The hotel was very nice, if a bit old but well kept. Our first room was VERY far from the elevator, ice, etc and had only obne window that you had to stand on a chair to get on the windowsill to see out! We changed rooms and moved a bit closer down the hall,( 504 to 512) had 2 window (a bit lower, but 1 was covered by a gargoyle) and was much nicer. The hotel was very nice about making the change. The restaurant was pricey, and the food so-so, but convenient to our iteneraries. It was a nice hotel all in all, and i would recommend it for its location most of all.
“Beautiful view, excellent location, true bargain”
I stayed at the Marriott County Hall in mid March for three days. I expected the hotel to be top notch from the recommendation I had seen online, but everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. First of all for the room was very large and luxurious by London hotel standards(London hotel room are notoriously small). From my window I could see Parliment (Big Ben) and White Hall from across the River Thames. The view at night is spectaculor. I travel about 20 week a year and am seldom impressed by hotels but the Marriott Town Hall will remain high on my list of favorite hotels. Of course receiving three nights stay for the price of two helped.
“American-style Hotel in London”
Great location if you're planning on making your visit to London a "walking tour". Easy access via mulitple bridges to Parliament Square, the British Museum, the London Eye, etc. Excellent Consierge assistance for information regarding London sites. Highly recommend paying extra for the "Big Ben" view! Great access to "American style" expectations of a hotel --- plenty of towels in the Bathroom, bathrobes, blankets, hair dryer, Executive Suite with morning breakfast buffet, etc. Room was spotlessly clean everyday. Only issue was that our Room reservation was cancelled due to our overnight arrival from the US. Manager resolved this within an hour allowing us complementary access to the Executive Suite to have Breakfast and wait for our Room availability. I highly recommend this hotel for its service and location. Happy visiting!
