“London's Best Kept Secret”
The location is the best for visitors to any parts of the city with public transportation just steps away. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, though the newly remodeled ones look fantastic! There is a full bath and fully-equipped kitchenette with table service, microwave, hot plate, and dishwasher. It is perfect for long-term or overnight stays. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. I highly recommend this hotel to all travelers visiting London. It is a great deal.
“Under Construction!”
This Citadines is under construction, and the lobby and registration area are considerably torn up. The place definitely needs an update. Although my studio room was quite large and had a separate kitchenette, the entire place felt like a college dormitory. Staff were only moderately helpful. When I asked about WiFi (I have an iPad and can't use cable), I was told it was only available in the lobby "if you can get a signal." Not good in this day and age. It was OK for one night, but the place is really intended to be used for longer stays, and I could not recommend it for that. Perhaps when the renovation is complete I will feel differently.
“Convenient location”
Location was the biggest plus for us when choosing this hotel. The price was good considering the proximity to Trafalgar. The hotel is dated and the rooms could use an overhaul. We had what would be considered a studio type apt. with a pull out couch for a bed. The bed was comfortable however, unlike some pull-outs. The TV remote was duck taped together poorly! The kitchenette was fine for what we needed and the bathroom space was fine. The room was clean. We only used it for sleeping so all the finer amenities of a hotel was not needed. Daily maid service available for a fee. I would recommend this hotel for those who are there to sightsee not luxuriate in a hotel on a special occasion. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs.
“Good.”
Location great. Cleanlinesss good. Space ample. Service good.. The floor we were on could use some renovation (i.e. new carpeting and some paint). There was renovation taking place on the floor directly above us which was very noisy in the mornings. There is also alot of outdoor noise at night, especially if you like open windows. This was the second time I stayed here and I would probably do so again.
“Good position”
We have stayed here before, mainly for the convenient position it has, being very close to Charing Cross & Embankment railway stations, as well as Trafalgar Square area and the river. The Apartments are rather tired, but refurbishment is being undertaken at present which will be most welcome. Hopefully this will not result in prices increasing too much. I would definitely recomment Citadines Trafalgar Apartments and we hope to stay there again.
“Great location”
Great location, walking distance to many attractions, shows, restaurants. First room we were given was not clean but were quickly relocated. Hotel was very quiet (room on backside), although being renovated. Wireless only available in lobby but bought small laptop for room that helped. Plenty of space for two adults and one child.
“Very satisfied”
The location is great - just down from Trafalgar Square, very close to the river, Embankment underground railway station is nearby.. The bed was foldout but quite ok; apartment facilities for cooking likewise ok. Would certianly go there again.
“Needs Refurbishment”
The carpet in the room was so grotty that I would not step on it with bare feet; kitchen is convenient but grotty too. Location is the only reason to stay there.
“extremely small tiny rooms”
the kitchen was very s,melly, even though i never used it, but whenever someone cooks in their room, i get all the cooking smell in mine. bed is not the least comfortable, it is simply a sofa that does not give you good sleep at all !!!
“Convenient location”
The hotel was extremely close to the underground. It was a short walk to the London Eye, Big Ben, Parliament, etc. It's right in Trafalgar Square so it's a nice area. There's 1 computer with internet that you can use in the lobby which was convenient for printing tickets or checking in for your flight. Overall the room was okay. What I didn't like about the hotel room was: 1) The bed was a sofabed. It was still comfortable though. 2) When you showered water would get on the bathroom floor because the glass door only covered the half of the shower closest to the showerhead. Made no sense. 3) What really was annoying were their white towels. They would leave lint all over your body and hair. You wouldn't realize it until you rubbed your arm or someplace and then the lint would gather. Then you would just make it worse. Bring your own towels. If you use wash cloths bring that too because they don't provide that. Some people may like the convenience of the small kitchen. I'm kinda picky so I didn't want to use any of the provided dishes. I was kinda grossed out by using dishes that everyone else has used and not knowing how clean they were. They didn't have any kitchen towels so we had to use the bathroom towels. I wouldn't go back but that's just because I'll want to stay in the Picadilly area next time since there's more action going on. It's like the Times Square of London.
