"Great Place"
We arrived on Ao Nang with no where to stay and found this place. We paid full price for two nights Bed and Breakfast in a standard room and they upgraded us straight away to a superior room. The room was huge! It was comfortable and clean. We left Ao Nang to travel up to Koh Samui and we booked this place again for another night on the Expedia App. We decided later to book a second night a few days later. We returned 6 days later for our standard room for around £50. At check in they remembered us and after explaining that we had two separate bookings, the upgraded us to a superior cottage which was amazing! They told us that we would have to move rooms but when we checked the next morning, it was no problem and they let us keep the cottage. This place is set slightly back from the busy Main Street in Ao Nang and has a great pool.

"Wow - Great hotel, in private bay in Koh Samui."
We all know that Asia can be rather dirty in public places. This place is so far from the reality of Asia it is incredible. Amazingly kept grounds. Wonderful friendly staff. Private concierge who only look after a couple of units, who can do everything from book your trips, to organise a buggy for you, to organise your online checkin & seat allocations for your trips if you want. Nothing was too much trouble. So friendly. Love Thai people, they are so friendly, but these staff were just amazingly wonderful. Food wasn't badly priced. Wine & Champagne is just scary pricing, so consider picking some up at a corner store prior to arrival. Shops & motor scooter hire within a couple of hundred metres of the entrance to the Banyan Tree. Canoe hire, beach, coral, snorkling, three restaurants (Wow, Saffron) amazing breakfasts, rooms re enormous, and each with it's own private pool attached to your bungalow (wet edge) heated spa incorporated. Their spa was incredible. Wow. Do one of their spa packages. Sounds like we should be on commission for them, but it really was that good......... and we have travelled the world extensively & expensively .......... this is in the top handful of ours for indulgent relaxation. Do it.

"Loved the ambience!"
We stayed at two places, Paradise & one other corporate "chain" hotel, Paradise was superior in so many ways, the grounds are amazing, well established and well set out. The rooms were clean, spacious and private. There are two pools to choose from, both offering a different feel, our kids swam for a minimum of 5 hours per day! Menu was extensive and well priced & happy hour at the bar was always fun with friendly staff eager to get to know us and have a friendly chat, plus the view from the eatery and bar was spectacular, the resort lives up to its name in location. Did I mention all the staff were fantastic :) Will definitely be going back!

"Beautiful scenery and amazing villas"
Everything about this hotel was just absolutely lovely. The villas were very private, extremely clean, and the staff very friendly. We arrived late as we had a night time flight, and they waited up for us to show us to the room, and were very welcoming. When we arrived we were upgraded to a two bedroom villa even though we booked a one bed. The villas were very spacious, really nicely decorated and just had an overall 5* feel. We stayed there for two weeks and felt very safe, there is always someone on reception to help and they're taxi service is very quick and a fair price. The hotel is slightly secluded, however the Fishermans village is only a walk away(although due to the wild dogs it is difficult to walk this at night) and a 5 minute taxi ride away which the hotel only charge 100 baht for. The busy area of Chaweng is a 15 minute taxi ride away and the hotel are very helpful if all of their taxis are in use they will order a taxi from close by. Big Buddah and Bangrak pier are also very close to the hotel so it is easy to get to quickly. The private beach area by the hotel was lovely- we were pleasantly surprised as there had been some negative reviews about the beach but we found it nice and quiet and the sand very nice! Very nice place to go for couples or families. We had an absolutely amazing time, and stayed at other hotels in Koh Panghan and Koh Tao but nowhere matched up to Punpreeda.

Food was great defo try the spring rolls, and fruit shakes watermelon and strawberry! This is a must stay resort.

    Ko Samui Hotel Guide

Even though Thailand’s third-largest island has often been compared with paradise, it still manages to keep its feet on the ground. So whether you’re a bohemian backpacker or a comfort-loving hedonist, you'll find that most hotels in Ko Samui deliver a little piece of heaven at seriously down-to-earth prices.

    Beaches and waterfalls

The beaches are the jewels in Ko Samui’s crown, but head inland to escape the crowds of sun-seekers and you’ll be richly rewarded. Marvel at the colourful cascades of Namuang waterfall, the longest of the island’s many falls, or hike through several levels for a cooling dip in the pool at the top of Hin Laad, stopping off at the temple for some spiritual refreshment. Climb the staircases for a dramatic view of the azure waters of the Emerald Sea, or admire the tropical flowers and colourful insects in Samui Butterfly Garden.

The Fisherman’s Village at Bo Phut offers a glimpse of the traditional island way of life, with many well-preserved wooden Chinese shop-houses and a lively evening market where you can shop for souvenirs and sample the local cuisine in the street cafes. From here you can take a fishing trip on a local boat around the island of Koh Phangan, or go on a day dive to the world-famous Ang Thong Marine Park.

    Detox and Full Moon Party

If you’re up for a full-on detox, many Ko Samui hotels have their own on-site wellness centres, offering everything from bespoke New Age holistic spas to friendly open-to-all yoga classes. Check with your own accommodation for more information about the facilities in your resort. Or if you prefer to leave the hard work to others, grab a ticket for Chaweng Thai Boxing Stadium, where you can watch high-profile title fights as well as local matches.

For an antidote to all that healthy living, spend a night on the tiles before you leave. The legendary Full Moon Party has been held at Haad Rhin Beach on Koh Phangan since the mid-1980s. Nowadays tens of thousands of revellers take the short boat ride from Ko Samui to party until dawn and then sleep it off on the beach. Try the Thai whisky (in moderation) for an authentic hippie hangover!
