"This was my favorite stay out of all of my accomodations in Japan even if I was only there for a day (wish I stayed longer!). Soku-san and his wife are the kindest people ever and offered amazing hospitality. Gao is the cutest dog I've ever seen and I was super happy to get a picture with him at the end of my stay. "12月24日に宿泊させて頂きました。 180年以上前に建てられた古民家の宿は、雪に覆われていて最高の日に宿泊できた事は本当に運が良かったです。 館内はとても清潔に保たれていて、気持ち良く過ごす事ができました。 石庭も手入れが行き届いていて、雪吊りが雪国を感じさせてくれました。 今度は、雪の無い時期にお庭のウッドデッキでバーベキューなんかもしてみたいです。 スタッフの皆様のお気遣いにも感謝しています。 一緒に営業している飲食店を探してくれたり、雪の少ない道を案内してくれたりと本当に助かりました。 本当にありがとうございました。"

"I absolutely loved my stay here. The property supplied everything one could imagine. Even the most random things like shoe warmers. It was in a great location and we had a little bar right next to us so we could stop for a drink. Easy walk to the historic town or to the Samurai village. I would highly recommend it. "

"Interesting traditional inn but modern facilities. Staff guide you around the property, which is quite unusual when you're used to staying in standars hotels. Staff have varying levels of English but thanks to Google translate it didn't cause any problems. Slight miscommunication about our check out time, but it was resolved and we found our way out of the hotel(!)"

"Our junior suite was amazing. We had locals sweets everyday in our room with explanation about the local ingredients. We had a beautiful view of the river and city and eat good & well balanced breakfast. The staff was very polite & gave us excellent service. Thank you so much! We enjoyed our stay!"

"A fabulous, quaint, traditional property in a superb location. The free hot bathing room privately available, was very enjoyable too. The proprietor was very attentive and helpful and you can tell he's rightly very proud to be Japanese. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would say is we found the mattresses uncomfortable. That may be just our bodies, but we struggled. "

"Hotel was in a quiet area but just down the road from a main area. The hotel was quiet and they accommodated our early check in. We had a big room with a nice patio. The only issue was that there was a strong musk smell. I think it is due to the wood but one person in my group was sensitive to the smell and it bothered them. "

"Our family booked 2 rooms and stayed one night at the hostel. Check-in was easy as the property owner provided clear details 1-2 days prior check-in. "The W&M House is simply outstanding. The suites are spacious, immaculate, well appointed, and very reasonably priced. While there is not much in the immediate area, the guest house is a short walk to many of the best spots in Kanazawa, whether the restaurant and nightlife district, the Omicho market, museums, and the gorgeous Kenroku-en Gardens. "It was a pleasant stay and location is great. Is about 560m away from Kanazawa station .We are able to drop off our luggage at Kanazawa hotel before our check in time . Is a plus as this hotel is unmanned. Smooth Check in with password given. Comfortable bed and family friendly. "
