“Good Service”

The Hotel was clean, comfortable and central with easy access to the old area of Instanbul. The Wi Fi on the floor Iwas staying on was not working initially, but one mention to the staff and the problem was fixed immediately.

“Lovely staff”

The staff at the Yasmak Sultan really made the stay perfect, the waiters at breakfast always greet you with good morning, the concierge always checks to see you're ok and if there's anything she can help you with, even the cleaners say hello when they see you! It's in a great location, within walking distance to the Archeology Museum, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Basilica Sistern, Aya Sophia and the ferry terminals. When I was there the gym was been renovated, which was a shame, but it looks like it's going to be really nice. Breakfast is fab, there's tonnes to choose from, whether you want a full cooked breakfast, toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, olives, cucumber, you name it, it's there!

“Will be even better after the pending renovation”

We stayed 2 nights at the Yasmak Sultan, located in proximity to several Yasmak hotels including the new Sultania Boutique (shares the spa). The Yasmak Sultan has a prime location , 50 meters from the Guilane Tram stop and 200 meters to Topkapi Palace - Blue Mosque and Spice Market are also very close. We had a 4rth deluxe double room which is a larger and with a windowed alcove with a view of the Hagia Sofia - well worth the small difference. The service provided by the staff was both friendly and impecable.

“Great value for money”

Stayed there in Feb 08 - great little spot. All of the historical sights are within walking distance. The tramway stops just down the street and almost at the front door - incredibly convenient. Excellent views from the rooftop dining room - decent breakfast. Rooms are small but comfortable and cleaning staff are excellent. One point to note is that the hotel is undergoing a modernization/expansion phase however work is kept to normal working hours and is not an issue thereafter.

“Highly Recommended!”

The hotel was basic (probably 2 star by UK standards)but exceptionally clean and situated within a 15 minute walk of many tourist attractions. Staff spoke good English and were very friendly/helpful. Breakfast could be enjoyed on the sunny terrace and meals in the hotel restaurant were good and reasonably priced. I would have no reservations recommending this hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul.

“Lovely hotel in great location”

The best features of this hotel are its location in the heart of the old city with its proximity to all the major tourist attractions; and its delicious breakfasts on the roof with a 5 star view of the city. While the room was a bit basic and small for three people, particularly the closet space, it was exactly as advertised and clean and comfortable. Everyone working there was courteous and helpful, although understanding English was a bit of a problem in regard to asking for anything a little different, particularly with room service and you need to persist when they just don't turn up because they didn't understand what you wanted. Overall, would and have recommended this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Istanbul.

“Not 4 star but good quality”

I wouldn't call this a four star hotel in terms of UK standards, but it is a clean and well-maintained hotel in a good location for the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. The roof-top restaurant has great views and the staff are all very helpful and courteous. My room was rather small, but that wasn't really a problem. View over a building site wasn't great. The room had everything you'd expect - air con, mini bar, etc., but slightly suprised at no room service for a hotel in this class. Beware that the toilets are (in the local style) equipped with water jets which you should use rather than the paper provided (the plumbing can't take paper!)

“Overall a reasonably good standard for the star rating & cost”

Overall this wasn't a bad hotel for the star rating and cost. The room was a little bit drab, but quiet and comfortable. Location is excellent - all main attractions are within a 10 minute walk. The restaurant on the roof is a lovely location, but frankly a bit overpriced for the quality of food. We would certainly go back again however.
