"Wow!! What a great stay! We ran into Adrien Cuenin, the head of Food and Beverage and he was simply amazing. He made sure our service throughout our visit was impeccable. A true professional and credit to the operation. That made the difference. From the Canoe House 5 star dining to the beachside service, every single interaction was friendly, fast and helpful. The housekeeping team was also five star. Anything we needed, they showed up magically fast with smiles and a warm “alpha”! We will be back and tell as many people as possible that Mauna Lani is THE place to stay on the big island!!! "

"A very convenient location for staying in Waimea-- there are two supermarkets and one health store across near by. Several restaurants/coffee shops within a mile and a lovely 1 mile (2 mile round trip) nature path across the street. It is a bit of a drive to Kona or Hilo but still accessible. Email the hotel with your information (email address) even if you intend to check in before 4 PM (flight delays etc) so they can email you with how to check in after hours. Staff were friendly in person and on the phone. In addition to a coffee maker, my standard room had a mini fridge which allowed me to store snacks/produce w/o fear of spoilage or pests."

"We had a wonderful stay! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, we never had an issue finding chairs at the pool, loved snorkeling in the cove, and enjoyed seeing the sea turtles every morning while drinking our coffee. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. The only downside is the food wasn’t as tasty as we hoped it’d be however, having the shuttle service came in handy so we could try other restaurants nearby. "

"My 2 bedroom came with a full size kitchen, all utensils. Very clean, full size washer and dryer, two bathrooms, nice view with lanai. Again very clean and comfortable. Will stay here again."

"This property was beautiful, quiet and the staff is amazing. Its a little drive to Hilo but worth it. So much to see and do in the area. They also have a book in the room that is a wealth of information about the area. It is available to buy and we advise to get a copy. We highly recommend cottages to anyone traveling to the area. "

"Kim’s Cottage and Jim’s welcome were both awesome, two of us stayed for three nights and it was exactly as described and expected. The private patio was wonderful and it made for easy living. We did have some unwelcome encounters with mosquitos, but that was expected due to the location of the property and the season. We normally stay in Hawi and the location was incredibly convenient for us to explore the northeastern side of the island. Once welcomed by Jim, where he gave us an overview of the cottage and the property, we were afforded incredible privacy throughout our stay. It was just perfect, exactly what we needed :)"
