“beyond my expectation”

It's my first time trip to Hong Kong... a short stay for only one night and no plan for any sightseeing. I picked this hotel because its good price but the experience is obviously beyond my expectations. It is very clean, very well decorated and maintained. The room and the shower is small but the bed is close to queen sized. I'm not that big and use the room more for sleep or relax a bit. It served my purpose perfectly. There're many shopping malls around and restaurants from high end to cheap ones. The transportation direct to airport has the choices of taxi (220 HKD), shuttle bus (110 HKD) or street bus (19 HKD). I took the street bus (A31) and rode on the upper level to have a nice view of Hong Kong Streets along the route... in short, great experience and highly recommended.

location and price is ok, but the room is extremely too small, there is no chair and table. I hope the room is a little bit bigger will be better

The rooms are VERY small. My room had a full sized bed, table, bathroom with shower stall and about 3ft x 6ft area to walk. Otherwise it's fairly nice. It's near the MTR station and restaurants. Although Tsun Wan is about 30-40 minutes to major areas like TST, and Causeway.

“Convenience location to the airport”

Is a good Hotel, with very clean and small rooms. The staff is very helpful. I would recommend it for staying at most 3 nights. Since is close to the airport is kind of convenient, and also close to a MTR station.

We found this Hotel just fine for what we needed and price paid. Staff very friendly and cleaners also helpful. English is spoken at this hotel. The room, though smaller than expected was very clean and the smallness didn't bother us. The double- decker bus from the airport (you must purchase ticket first or accept no change given) stopped a very short walk from the hotel, so convenient. Returning to the airport not so convenient if you have heavy luggage, as you have to get to the opposite side of the road via an overpass which has many steps and no ramp on one side of the overpass. There is a Bakery very close to hotel with great food.

“great hotel for short stay and on a budget”

I didn't expect much from this hotel because it was fairly cheap, but it's impressively clean and modern. The room may be tiny, but it served my purpose and it was comforable enough. Not recommended for bigger people though... it might be too tight for you.

“Very Good Hotel”

Reading the reveiws by other members i was a little apprehensive about coming to the Dorsett Far East Hotel. However i had a wonderfull experiance the room was clean, a very good size for the price and even big windows with a good veiw! For some people this hotel maybe a little far away from the center of town, but this is reflected in the price. The Metro is not very far away and its only a few minutes away from the center. Will stay there again on my next trip to Hong Kong. also There is a really nice bakery just next to the hotel, i think the opening times are 9:30am - 6pm. good value and great for a tasty on the go snack!

“A shame”

Price and location are the only reasons to stay at this hotel. When newly refurbished n 2007, it was easy to overlook the shortcomings e.g. small room size, lack of hanging/ storage space, constantly humid bathroom due to of ventilation etc. But not now, when it is clearly overused, and very run-down. Can't complain for the price but still disappointing nonetheless. Unlikely to return until next refurbishment.
