“too far away from the airport”

The hotel is too far away from the airport, and there is no shuttle or bus between the airport and hotel - you have to take a taxi. It is definitely not an airport hotel. The taxi drive takes 35 minutes and costs about US$30 one way.

“Nice hotel but out of the way”

This was a lovely hotel - good value for money in Hong Kong though the price reflects its location. Lovely waterfront setting but not near any amenities without using the shuttle bus + MTR. However I knew that when I booked it so it wasn't too much of a problem. Only criticisms were that the room smelled a bit funny and the food was not good, and definitely not worth the price charged.

Area recommendations
Kowloon or Hong Kong Island are the best places to stay in terms of easy sightseeing and amenities.

“Not Impressed: good price, clean room but nothing to see under the bridge...”

“Will stay here any time I visit Hong Kong my first pick”

The staff, the views, the shuttle service, all exceeded or met my expectations. I have stayed here many times so I may be considered spoiled. There maybe a better location but I would not take the risk of losing the jewel I have found at Royal View. WiFi in the room would be a added plus but you will find service in the lobby. The old fashion slow dial up plug was available in the room but of course I failed to pack a connection cord.

Area recommendations
The walk along the bay and the neatly designed exercise trial just below the hotel was very charming. I was sick the first day so only made it to the Cable Car and took a new friend to Disney their are many other cites the incline rail and exhibit at the top is worth your time. I also have enjoyed on an earlier trip the Jet Ferry to quickly cross the bay to Macau, China for a little gambling.

“Great hotel”

Great modern hotel - we very much enjoyed our stay here. Beds were clean and comfortable, furniture are all clean and well maintained, house keeping was good, and the rooms were quite big by Hong Kong standard. Staff were very friendly and professional even when it was very busy. Our expedia deal included free internet which was very convenient. The only downside of the hotel is its remote location. The (free) shuttle buses are normally just fine but during some parts of the day the bus is not as frequent as it perhaps should be. However, the very reasonable price and the convenience of the nearby suburb Tsuen Wan (you can get anything you want there - food, shopping, MTR to the rest of HK) more than makes up for it.

“Love everything of this place except for the location”

Other than the location of this hotel, everything else was perfect. Staff was friendly, hotel is nice, room is clean with a really beautiful view.

“Royal Park View - Good Value Getaway from the City”

Not much more to say. Be prepared that is a little bit far from the city, so please brings lot of food and things you need and just relax there.

“It is NOT near the airport, it nears nowhere!”

The hotel is listed as near the airport, but it is acutall not. It takes about around 200HKD by taxi from airport to the hotel and no airport hotel shuttle bus goes there. The taxi fee is far more expensive than taking an airport express train (80 HKD) to city center and then taxi. The hotel is near nothing, it offers shuttle bus to go to nearby town and takes about 40HKD to go back by taxi. You basically stuck there! The hotel is relatively new, but I think it was converted from something else. The room is very small and the ceiling is really low. I was given a free upgrade to a suite, but the bedroom is just a bed and three sides of the bed are next to the walls. Anyway, for whatever the reason you want to stay in Hong Kong, in city or near airport, don't stay this one!!!

“Overnight Stay”

It was one of the rare cold night in HK, the hotel front door was broken, there were no heat in the hotel. otherwise the room was clean.

“Very good hotel with a reasonable price”

Hotel was clean and nice. View was good. Service was good. Location was a little remote but has free shuttle bus from the hotel to MTR station and a down town mall where you can pretty much get anything you need. The hotel should supply the guests with a MTR map, otherwise, the guests will need to have some ideas where they are going in Hong Kong.

Area recommendations
The mall and the city market have a lot of interesting stuff and some still have the old looks.
Shopping
If you know where to go, shopping is inexpensive and fun.
Dining
Almost all the malls have very good fast food restaurants.
