“Bigger than expected room”
I was given a free upgrade to a family with my 2 rooms booking. When I entered the room, the room was much bigger than expected, from my previous visit to Hong Kong. I have a Kig size bed in 1 room and 2 single beds in the other. There are still space for 2 extra beds and a living room with a kitchen. Really value for money. Will recommend to use this hotel if you dun mind the location is slightly further away from the city centre.
“Price is ok”
The price of the hotel is average for the location at Tsuan Wan. Atthough it is away from the center of Hong Kong, the subway is close by.
“Not very impressed”
Have stayed at this hotel before. The only reason to stay again is to be near wherer I need to do business. The service and room was just not too impressive. The room has no outlet to receive US type plug, which is rare in today's hotels hosting international guests. No complimentary bottled water is offered like in other cities. You either buy bottled water from the street or pay HK$60 for a bottle in room.
“A feasible alternative to TST area”
If you are arriving at HK airport, take the "airport express" train to Tsing-Yi station (60 HKD) and then a taxi (about 45-50 HKD) just telling the hotel name - almost all drivers know its location. Truly easy. Although the location of the hotel is quite far from Mongkok, Kowloon, TST and HK central area, the subway station is in a short walk distance, leading you to almost anywhere. Another way to go or come back from downtown is taking the hotel's bus service (ask the concierge). For those who don't have time to go around, in the basement of the hotel's building there's a very convinient mall providing many restaurants of many types, fast food, convinience store, shops and also an entertaining area for the youth (gaming). If you are tired and seeking for a good relaxing massage, you can find it very close to the hotel (ask for directions to the concierge guys) - although the overal conditions and maintenance of the place are not attractive at all (and I do really mean it), the service is really good, seriously. For sure, I will get back to this hotel in my next trip to HK.
“Jojo”
It was a nice and very pleasant stay
“Gizmo stays in the New Territories”
Good value for the money with easy access to the metro and quick 30 minutes ride into central Honk Kong/Kowloon. Easy access to the airport. Tons of places to eat and shop within minutes of the hotel. An overlooked experience by many is staying in one of the New Territory "towns". A very different and worhwhile experience.
“GL Woodland”
Big improvement since I last stay a couple of years ago. But the price is too high for the location that is far away from major shopping area.
“Good services”
the hotell is located at the area having different ways of convenient transportation.
“A bit out of the way, but well worth it”
The hotel is at the first stop on the Airport Express shuttle train and then a 10 minute taxi costing about 40-45 HK with tip if you have a bag. Hotel is recently refurbished on most floors, but if you have any doubts spring the 20 USD a night to have one of teh better rooms. Housekeeping is meticulous, the desk staff are extremely helpful and there is a mult-level shopping arcade in 3-4 sub-basements (common in HK) directly beneath the hotel. Only down-side is that it is about exactly half way between airport and downtown Kowloon tourist area if that is what you want. However, there are some lovely floral and tourist markets (as well as the MTR) little more than a 5-8 minute covered walk from the hotel. This is my second trip to the Panda and I do not hesitate to reccomend it. I'll be back again in July for sure.
“Hotel good for visitors”
The rooms are clean. The location is convenient. I have two rooms with a door that could be opened. It was nice for two families, or a big family.
