“Less is more”
Recently experienced my 2nd stay at Asian Ruby 3 Hotel and recommend it to anyone. Unless your idea of a vacation is to remain holed up in a hotel room all day, this hotel met all my needs. It is clean, comfortable and quiet. No more noise coming off the street than you would experience in a Midtown Manhattan hotel. For the rate I paid, which included a more-than-substantial free breakfast, you cannot beat this combination of comfort, feeling of security and location. The reception and dining staff were all very accommodating and made you feel welcome.
“Small rooms, but it's nice and new and in a perfect location.”
At the check in time I've been informed that they've upgraded the room with the same price, but I think it's just a marketing.
“Excellent Rooms and Services”
Ruby 3 really valued returning guests. We were given priority and even room upgrades at no extra costs. Excellent service
“Good Hotel - good location”
Room is clean and has all the things expected of a decent hotel - aircon, bar fridge, mini bar, toiletries, TV with several English channels, in-room-safe. Bed was a bit hard, but I heard people from other hotels had the same problem. Reception area has two free internet computers. Breakfast was a buffet with a mix of Western and Asian. They always had toast/fried eggs/bacon/cereal/coffee/juice/fruits/yoghurt, and then a change of the Asian food every day. Decent breakfast, but stay too long and as with everything, gets boring. Staff at the front counter were helpful and spoke English. My bag was stolen late at night and Reception were very helpful in letting me use the front reception phone, getting me a new key asap, and taking me to the Police (ps the Police are rude, unhelpful, and ignore you). Just for other's info in regards to the theft - a motorbike sped past and ripped my bag out of my hands in the park across from the hotel late at night. Do not hold your bag/wallet - hide it and/or keep it strapped to you at all times. Hotel offers tours, but there are cheaper places. Go across the park and walk right along the road. There are a few tour places, but the one we used was Lac Hong (look for the sign above the door). At least 1/4 of the price of the hotel prices. Favourite place to eat..turn down the the street on the right hand side of the hotel - little shop at the end of the street cooks shells/snails etc - my man loved the food. Recommended.
“Impressive Value for Money”
It was unfortunate at check in. I booked 2 rooms abd specified 1 with 1 double bed, and the other with 2 twins. The hotel provided both rooms with just 1 double bed and wanted $20 USD extra for 2x twin beds. Otherwise it is a very pleasant stay. Breakfast is great when you turn up early, or else no food left. Rooms are very clean and service is awesome
“Nice, hotel with small rooms”

“Nice little hotel in good location for price”
We stayed in a family room in this hotel, and, not knowing what to expect, was really impressed to find that this consisted of two interconnecting rooms. I was not sure that I would be able to find interconnecting rooms in a small hotel. The rooms were lovely, and well fitted out. We had a great view with double glazed windows which effectively blocked much of the busy street noise. I'd highly recommend this this hotel and their family rooms as great value for a family. I did have a problem however when first checking in. We were told that we had been 'upgraded' to a suite, instead of the family room. The suite was only one room, with 2 single beds, and so 2 rollaway beds had to be added in the living area. The living area also had mouldy wallpaper, and the windows were not double glazed, and covered with shabby blinds. I queried as to whether this was an 'upgrade', and asked if we could just have the family room that I had booked. We then found out that the family room that I booked was not vacated by the previous guest, and that I would have to wait until the next day to have the family room. So we certainly weren't upgraded, and the family rooms were so much nicer than the 'suite'. Apart from that hiccup, we had a really great stay in this hotel.
“Reasonable and convenient but lacks the finishing touches.”
Not a bad place to stay BUT, room only had one window located in the bathroom. Surrounding neighborhood was kind of sketchy although you're real close to the red light district (200 feet away). The free breakfast wasn't very good although the fruit and staff was good.. The rooms are allright but like I said really no windows other than the little bathroom window. The finishes in the room were not done well with many little things missing. Just a little more time and effort and this place would be real nice. For the price it was very reasonable but there are many other hotels which have similar pricing and are just as good if not better, just not as new. Nice flat screen TV and staff there were very polite and accomodating.
“Great value for money”
This hotel is well located very close to the market area well within walking distance to the town centre. The rooms are modest and the hotel itself is quite small but for a few nights as a tourist its great value for money. The buffet breakfast isn't particularly comprehensive but enough to get you ready for a big day of shopping. I'd happily recommend this hotel to anyone who isn't looking for 5 star appearance but expects a clean room, friendly service and a great location.
“Would go back”
For the price the hotel was very clean and the rooms large and modern. The buffet breakfast is quite good. Be careful of windowless rooms. On my second stay there I was given one.
