“Not good at all....”

We got there at 2pm to check in and I was told the room is not ready and to come back in 45min. Ok, we got back there at 3pm and I was told not sure why but the room is not ready yet. Finally, got the key at 4pm. Jupiter has a lot of tour groups, buffet breakfast in the morning is packed. It's not worth getting buffet breakfast as the food is ordinary.

Area recommendations

Surfers Paradise has all the shops there and cafe. Some really nice place for dining.

Shopping

Harbor Town Factory Outlet is the must place to go if you love shopping.

“A Great Hotel in Broadbeach”

Jupiters was great!! The Hotel was very clean and the pool is amazing- it's huge and there are two hot tubs. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful. The Casino was nice-although we didn't win and talked with several people there- didn't talk to anyone who won any money. In the US- we are more used to people winning sometimes-but we didn't see that at Jupiters. The reception area had drinks (tea and fruit drinks) as well as apples every afternoon during check-in. The restaurants were ok but somewhat pricey- extra charges for everything-including more bread, refills on soda's-again in the US we are not used to paying for these things. They did have specials if you joined the casino @ Spinners (one of the restaurants). The thing that we were most disappointed about was the monorail was not running while we were there!! It was down for service the entire time we were there. The monorail takes you to the beach and to some shopping and restaurants. It's a little bit of a walk-so the monorail would have been nice. Everytone who worked at the hotel went out of their way to be nice to us. One other suggestion- maybe put a microwave in the room. This would be nice if you needed to warm up muffins or leftovers.

Area recommendations

The Pacific Fair Mall was nice and very close. The beach was great. Hard Rock Cafe in Surfers Paradise was good. The beach at Burleigh Heads was very nice. We also liked Mt. Tamporine-lots to do there. We really liked the Currumin Wildlife Sanctuary-lots to do there.

“It is a fair 4 starts hotel, not 5”

to have 5 stars you need to be good at the little things, and Jupiter is not. The bathroom did not look so good and water pressure was low. Waited 30 minutes for my suitcase to come up. Called reception and operator and no one answered. Service was not so good. Food in hotel restaurants is like from the 1980s.

“Improvement Required”

The room I had was good value for the price paid through Expedia. I would suggest some of the staff at the Service Desk on the Pearl Room floor need training on who is the client and what their role is in ensuring the clients stay is least hassle free. I was not impressed by the behaviour of some staff on the first night. They were less than friendly or courteous. Also as a holder of a Pearl Card I would expect that the offerings for food would be slightly better than what is in that room. Does the Casino not understand how much money has to be poured in to get to that level of Rewards membership? I think they should reconsider their offerings.

Area recommendations

Broadbeach for the vast array of dining venues on offer catering for a variety of tastes and budgets. Pacific Fair is also good for shopping but does not offer a lot different to what can be obtained in Brisbane. Probably good if you are from overseas or interstated. Surfers Paradise - just because it is Surfers Paradise and similar to the reasons for Broadbeach.

“Great Location”

Staff at reception were very helpful and friendly and check in and check out was quick and easy. Location of the hotel was perfect for attending a concert at the convention centre and the hotel was easy to get to by public transport. I thought the room was a little tired and not the 5 star I expected. It was however clean. Chocolates and newspapers each day were a treat!

“Not family freindly”

The overall stay was good but the hotel is not very family friendly, the kids cant be left alone for one minute or security will jump on you. The kids room is there but kids cant be unattended in it. suggest if you want to stay somewhere with kids stay somewhere else. Location is good, but paid for mono rail only to find out from another regular guest the hotel gives them for free (out of pocket $32.00). check in staff did not advise us of this. Did not receive daily newspaper and was not asked at check in if we wanted one. Food is expensive at the hotel and also not family friendly in the restaurants. Pool area was dirty in the mornings and was not cleaned until around 07.30am and the cleaner was using a blower vac around our feet. Room was clean and served its purpose. Would not recommend this hotel at all for family's...Remember the primary purpose is casino.

Area recommendations

Broadbeach is a great location but surfers paradise is more central and much more happening.

Getting there

Hired a car from East Coast car rentals very good service and excellent value for money, the attendant even advised us if we return the car 3 hours earlier than our booked time we would save one days rental, he did not have to do this but i see it as a sign of a genuine company, would definitely recommend this company.

“Jupiters casino for New Years Eve”

Although it was New Years Eve and higher prices are to be expected, the room was definitely NOT worth what was paid. The one-room "space" had 2 double beds for 3 adults, with no balcony and no view. The staff were all very polite and customer service was good. We had room service for dinner because all restaurants were full. We all enjoyed our dishes. Unfortunately we missed the buffet breakfast that we had pre-paid because it closed at 10am. This seemed unreasonable for New Years Day, and we weren't advised of this upon check-in. However, they allowed us to go to Spinners restaurant instead and have the "big breakfast" dish from the menu. The pool area was a bit of a disappointment. There was only one pool, which was teeming with screaming, running, splashing kids using various pool toys. This meant that a relaxing swim was impossible. Considering that Jupiters is a casino with around 700 rooms, you'd think there'd be more than one pool and that they would cater to guests who want to swim without being hit by a beachball.

“added a further dimension to the social function we attended at the hotel”

Apart from one incident on arrival consisting of an off hand porter who could not be bothered parking our car and told us to go to someone else to do it the overall stay was good. The check in and check out was smooth and efficient and tha staff everywhere else we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Area recommendations

Broadbeach because it has a wide variety of activities that would appeal to most people in some way and is less sleazy than Surfers.

“Hey Big Spenda”

Stay was ok. if i do stay there again i'd rather pay the extra to upgrade. room was pretty normal, don't think it was 5 star. Staff were nice. View was ok, was on side of city not ocean and was a good view at night. Only bad thing would have been, given a room next to elevators so got the elevator noise throughout the night.

Area recommendations

Breakfree Savannah was alot better than Jupiters and a lot cheaper and was straight across the road from the casino and the beach. definately will recommend that place.
