“Great location easily excessible to everything”

Nice clean hotel currently undergoing re-vamp which made it a bit noisy in the morning In easy acess to everything staff friendly .

Area recommendations

I would recomend Broadbeach for the traveller who is a bit older and would like a bit of a more quiet time

This is very close to all types of dining. We found the RSL Club which was 2 min walk very good with a lovely cheap breakfast menu and also great dinner menu This also had live entertainment which suited us

“Best Place to Stay at Surfers”

This is the best hotel we have stayed on the Gold Coast. It was so convenient and easy to get around, the place was so clean and comfortable and relaxing.

“don't bother”

sorry but was not happy with my stay at hotel grand chancellor surfers paradise. one arrival i wasn't happy with parking it was not secure & mixed with parking of shopping center (for $15 a night i would have liked secure parking in a separate area from general public , i have stayed at other hotels were i havn't been charged for secure parking.) I had booked a room with a king size bed but when i got to my room 2 double beds were in the room i went back to the reception desk , they told me that they didn't have any other rooms available and that i should come back tomorrow . ( I booked this room back on the 19th of may for a 2 night stay on 5th & 6th of august for my wife & myself.) over all the room was pretty ordinary the tv was about 20 years old , & the bed was very uncomfortable, the noise coming up from street at night kept waking us up ( we were on the 22nd floor). so for a weekend get away with out the kids we ended up more tired than when we left .

Area recommendations

if you plan to stay at surfers paradise stay at a newer more modern hotel away from the center the noise at night is unbelievable .

“Excellent Getaway”

“A bit drab”

Was a bit disappointed when I arrived. Full information on parking was not provided by reception. Drive in access a bit tricky - had to approach from the correct angle to drive into parking bay to access Reception, (it's right on the corner). Area was very noisy, street noise could easily be heard on the 21st floor. Though noise from rooms was not audible, anyone in the hall could be easily heard. Room service meal was luke warm when it arrived (staff very pleasant though) - $5 room service fee. Parking is a bit steep - $15 per day. All up, though I wouldn't rush out to recommend - there are plenty of hotel sites to choose from in the area.

“Great Family Hotel”

This is one of the best 4-star hotel in Gold Coast. The service is excellent, it is clean and most of all, a very central and convenient location. I have stayed in this hotel a number of times in the past and I highly recommend it whether for business or leisure.

For music and especially jazz lovers, there is a band doing a nightly performance at the Chevron shopping/entertainment food court. This is one of the best Jazz bands I have come across. Even including the US - home of US - this jazz band is second to none. On top of that, it is free!

“Great value, perfect location”

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The decor is somewhat dated but other than that everything was great. Excellent service, room was a good size and very clean. Our request for a higher floor was accommodated by the wonderful staff, we had a room on the 31st floor with stunning views!! Location is perfect, right in the middle of surfers paradise shops & restaurants & entertainment, plus a supermarket on the bottom floor so you can stock up! Parking available at a small extra cost, all up it was a great place to stay.

At the time we stayed, the hotel had a dinner special, seafood platter for 2 for only $59. Outstanding value, very filling and absolutely delicious! Restaurant has wonderful ambience too. Highly recommended!

“Memorable Stay.”

We had a most wonderful stay. The Grand Chancellor is an outstanding hotel with great service and helpful staff. Situated close to restaurants, shops, Seaworld and the beautiful beaches. The seafood platter at the hotel restaurant was a most memorable experience amd a swim and a spa was really relaxing. We would recommend the Grand Chancellor to both young and older people.Thank you for a really great stay at Surfer's Paradise. It was quite a bit like paradise alright.

Great shopping, restaurants and beautiful beaches. A stones throw from Seaworld and Jupiters.
