“Works for a family with small children”

Based on other travellers reviews we requested and were allocated a room above the 7th flloor in order to get a sweeping ocean view. The views were amazing (from Coolangatta in the south up to The Spit in the north) and we had a fantastic, large balcony from which to enjoy them. Our two bedroom apartment was spacious and light, with full kitchen facilities including cooking utensils, two bathrooms, and a laundry. Within the hotel there is an indoor pool, a spa, sauna, steam room and a comprehensive gym. In the grounds of the hotel there is a very large pool that fully enclosed. Adjacent to the pool is a large undercover BBQ area and toilets, leading onto the full-sized tennis court. This whole area is surrounded by a large, lush garden that is also fully fenced, so that the kids can be allowed to run around without having to monitor their every move (thank goodness!). Across the road is a big foreshore park with two playground areas. One is a pretty big council playground (it has a funky pedal-train on a track around the outside of it), while the other is a full-on sensory playground for kids of all ages. Beyond these is a beach with flagged areas and lifesavers patrolling. When it is time to eat, within walking distance (even for little ones) there is a Surf Club that serves generous meals and caters to kids. Across the road from the Surf Club is the main eating precinct in Broadbeach that has numerous cafes/restaurants and a supermarket that is open to 9pm.

“Happy family holiday”

I found the hotel excellent and the facilities were perfect for our families needs, next time we intend to come back and stay longer.... you are able to happily order room service should you need it but have facilities available to cook in your apartment yourself which is great when travelling with a family or if on a budget

“All you could want for a weekend away”

All you could want for a weekend away - close to the beach, shops and free parking! The balcony had an amazing view of the beach and surf. Number of playground were so handy- keeps children occupied. The staff were really nice and let us check in early on the day of our arrival. The rooms was a good size, the shower and in room spa was great. Will go back!!

“Great apartment for family or couples”

Great apartment, large in size and perfect location for Beach, Broadbeach mall, Jupiters and Pacific Fair. Ask for room 73 if taking a 2-bed apartment, it has a great aspect and well protected from the breezes you get when 13 floors up.

“Carmel by the Sea”

We loved this full serviced apartment. I had a lovely experience with Teresa who ensured that I would be happy with the apartment and outlook that I was looking for. We stayed in apt. # 59 on the 11th floor and the view was absolutely sensational. We were in a newly furbished apartment and they did a stunning job, so fresh and inviting. Everyone whom visited had fabulous comments about it. Downsides - 1. The owners had recently refurbished this unit and that was my main reason for selecting it. They put shag pile carpet in the main areas and this makes it very difficult to keep clean. A stick wand vacuum was provided but this is not powerful enough for shag pile and the battery's life was on the way out. 2. The apartment is only serviced every 8 days and I personally feel that this is not enough when you are paying the same rate as a hotel. Yes, I was able to wash my towels for a freshen up, but would be nice for the carpet to be vacuumed and floor moped.

“Great place to stay”

The location was fantastic, walking distance to the beach, shops, plenty of restaurants and bars and public transport. Secure free parking was certainly a key factor in our decision to stay here, but we only required the car to drive to Brisbane. The building is very impressive and I would certainly stay here again.

“Loved the ocean”

Nice facility with minimal service on apartment type units. Traveled on business, but great for families or couples with friends. Excellent location across from ocean beaches, within easy walking distance from restaurants and shopping.
