We stayed at the NH Anglo American hotel in November 2014 for 3 nights. Our room was large, very clean, well serviced, and had a lovely window (although the view was to the street below and the back of a factory across the road). Unfortunately, as our apartment was at the far end of the hotel, the wifi connection wasn't great. It was, however, excellent when we were nearer the reception area, so the hotel need only add in a signal booster for the further parts of the hotel.
The location was pretty good - close to the train station, and also only one block away from the river. Although it was a few blocks further away from the main centre of town than we would have liked. It was a very quite area, which was great, but it also lacked any atmosphere.
The morning breakfast was great, with a large array of options.
This was a lovely hotel, and ticked all the boxes, but next time I think I'll sty somewhere a little closer to where the action is!
Arriving at the bus terminal, a short walk got us to the hotel. I had made a mistake in the reservations (we wanted to stay a 4th day) which was corrected, though there was a cost difference.
The hotel has both dignity and elegance, with beautiful woodwork and artwork. The food was beyond our expectations.
Having never been to Florence, I was not sure on where to stay and where was near to everything and what wasn't. The hotel is situated at the end of the Famous bridge and is with 5-15 minutes of most things that you'd like to see.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and chatty, they couldn't do enough to help you which was lovely.
The rooms were simple but comfortable, quiet and clean. I will definitely be using this hotel again and for such a great price!
