"Old palazzo, now a hotel with suites"
Beautiful old building with spectacular breakfast room and the perfect roof top terrace for evening drinks. Polite, efficient staff. Generous touches - as we arrived very late the hotel put on a complementary buffet for us in our room and also provided a birthday cake for my daughter who was 18 while we were there. Very good value for the overall experience.

"Perfect choice"
Beautiful hotel in Florence. It's close to the train station in a quiet area. It's within walking distance to the piazzas, but it's a little bit of a walk, maybe an extra 10 mins walk. Rooms are large, clean and ornate. Great hotel especially for the price.

"Fine but wouldn't return"
Cons: -Single biggest con of the hotel was the smell in our room. By day (shortly after the room was cleaned), it wreaked of popurri and air freshener that was overwhelming. By night after we came back from a day of exploring, the room smelled absolutely horrible (sparing the details, it smelled like someone spent a LOT of time in the bathroom, stinking up the whole room). We talked to the front desk twice about the smell, and both times we spoke to the night staff (since obviously we were out during the day) and they told us we would have to speak to the "main" daytime staff, which of course were on hand only when we were out. The nighttime staff was completely unable to help fix our situation or change our room, unless we came back to speak to the main staff midday. -Our room was on the third "executive" floor, with no elevator (I don't recall reading this when I was booking). Not the end of the world (the front desk clerk was kind enough to help us with our luggage up during check in). Pros: +Great location, and easy to navigate to major sites (Mercato Centrale, Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, etc.). +Breakfast area was pleasant and breakfast spread nice, including eggs and cappuccino to order. +Hotel attracts mostly couples and older adults, so the hotel was quiet. +Played nice ambient jazz music in the hallways, which I could hear (very softly) in my room, which I thought was relaxing. +High speed Wi-Fi included.

"Trip to Florence"
The hotel was in a good central location near all the main sites. It had some good bars and cafes near the hotel. I found the room good value for what I paid and hotel staff very pleasant and helpful.

"will do hotel.."
I would say our experience in this hotel in Florence would be so so... The highlight is, it close to city center. About 10-15 min walk from the train station which is good. Just about 1 block away from Academia (a museum that houses statue of David). You need to check in at a different hotel which is hotel Delfino just about 20mtrs away from Casa Micol or else you can't get in since there is no information desk. We got our room in the third floor which i don't mind since we can handle it. There is an elevator that is good for 1 person only, will carry 2 if your small. Going to the room, bed is not that comfortable, washroom is about 6x6 foot in size, has a sink, toilet and a shower. In my opinion, I am not really impressed with it. Furthermore, our room has a spiral stairs inside which looks like an attic?? I tried to check it out up stairs but there is nothing but full of dust. Sounds creepy at first but we got over it. I think we just got lucky we end up on that room that was in the end of the hall. Seems to be quite at night which is better so that you can have a descent sleep. All in all i would rate it 3/5? maybe 2.5 but because it is close to academia i would say 3. As they say you get what you payed for. Of all places in Italy I've been so far, Florence is the most expensive one. For sure Venice it would be but we stayed in Mestre to save a bit. Wrapping things up, I still didn't regret it, We only stayed there for 2 nights anyway and it is cheap. Enjoy your trip!!!

"Great hotel in fantastic location."
The hotel is located right in the centre of Florence within easy walking distance of all of the main sights. The old building has been renovated really nicely, the bedrooms aren't huge but are very comfortable & have everything you need. The staff are all really friendly & helpful, especially Fabian the bartender. Great breakfast for both choice & quality. Would definitely stay here again.

"Great Hotel and good location"
The staff were superb offering loads of advice regarding tours, restaurants and sites. A really comfortable hotel located just off centre but within 10 minds walking distance of all attractions. Great breakfast, comfortable and informal lounges that are lovely to relax in at any time of day or night. We had a great 6 night stay and plan to return.
