“Very friendly, cosy, and comfortable hotel!”
The strength of this hotel can be summarised as: 1) reasonable price; 2) quality of room; 3) run by an amiable and helpful owner; 4) located fairly quiet and safe area (the road/street is closed during the night because its neighbour is the American embassy!) 5) only 7-10 min walk to the station and city centre. Here, I wish to emphasise the following conditions of a room at this hotel that are nicely different from many other budget hotels and B&B (particularly in London): 1)the room is rather spacious; 2) the bed mattress is very comfy; 3) the quality of bathroom is as good as four star hotels since it has ample supply of hot water and is equipped with a bidet, a powerful hair dryer, efficient ventilation/fan. Although it is a trivial matter, you may find inconvenient in the service hour of the reception. In other words, the reception desk is not always opened. Because of this, the lodgers might happen to ring the owner when they find he is absent from the reception. So if you decide to stay there, please bring the telephone number with you! Anyway, the owner himself is a a friendly broke and very helpful and pleasant!
“Great host”
Staff were awesome, made the trip so much friendlier and easy to plan. Very good coffee for breakfast too!!! Area good and not far from anything!
“Excellent central, safe quiet location and the owners are wonderful.”
Excellent central, safe quiet location and the owners are wonderful.
“Just perfect for that price”
Family owned place, very friendly and welcome. Perfect location (10 min walk from train station), very quiet and safe neighborhood (embassy, streets closed for cars). You get the keys from entry door, so may walk in any time. Breakfast is good - You get not only tea/coffee with pastry, but fruits, yougurt, muesli, etc. Room is small, but clean, bed is big and comfortable, bathroom is nice and well equipped, except shower cabin won't suit typical north american - too small)) Close to historical places. Free wi-fi.
“Good b&b, within walking distance to sights, great friendly hosts”
Convenient and reasonably priced bed and breakfast, within walking distance to sights in Florence. Great, friendly hosts.
“Excellent location! Easy to walk EVERYWHERE!”
This is a nice, little B&B. There wasn't a ton of charm in our bedroom, but we were only there to sleep (so it was fine). It's very clean and in an ideal location (just 1 block from the Arno). It's also nice that breakfast is included. The owners were very friendly and happily arranged a taxi to pick us up at 4:30am for our 6:30am flight. I highly recommend this place!
“Best hotel deal in Florence”
This was a small but adequate room with a small but adequate modern private bath. It was very clean. It's located near the American Consulate and the street is blocked off to motor vehicles. Therefore! - No noisy car traffic all night long. It's near the river, and an easy walk of less than a mile will get you to the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, or Santa Maria Novella Station. The staff was great - very helpful. A very nice breakfast was served in the morning. (On some days we would have liked it a little earlier) There was fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, jam, and a selection of cereals with wonderful fresh-brewed Italian coffee! The rooms are not air conditioned, which was no problem at all in late September. And it's only a few blocks from Trattoria Armando, where you can get great Tuscan food at a reasonable price. The manager will direct you to establishments the serve more ordinary food at low prices. This is a great deal - Book it!
“Loved this hotel!”
This hotel was in a great neighborhood, and easy to walk to from the train station. Roberto, the manager, was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was nice. I would definately recommend this hotel, and would stay here again when in Florence.
“Highly Recommended Stay!”
Extremely friendly and helpful at check-in. We had a car and we were able to park nearby at no cost. The location is one block from the Arno river and it is a pleasant walk to all areas of interest. Very quiet and safe. Our triple had a nice window and balcony. Bathroom was large. There is no elevator and you must carry luggage up one floor. I would highly recommend for its price and location and would definitely return on my next trip.
“best hotel experience in Italy”
hands down the best hotel experience we had in Italy. quiet street. friendly staff. couldn't get the AC to work, but i didn't bother to ask, since the temp was good. the window was open, so there were a few mosquitos, but not too bad. also, the tv was a little small, but we weren't there to watch TV! the breakfast was the best anywhere we'd been on our trip. everyone else seemed to skimp, but here they had everything we needed. this will be where we stay any time we return to Florence.
