“Good value and nice views”
Very convenient for ferries, about 150 metres away, also bus stop is quite near. Rooms have modern decor, good shower but no bath in our room. The buffet breakfast is more than adequate and the reception ladies went out of their way to be helpful.
“Very Nice Hotel”
The Hotel and its room have been nice and clean. Also the staff was very helpful and kind. We would stay there anytime again.
“Good value but more suited for business travellers”
The hotel is of high quality but situated across the road from very busy ferry port -although noise is minimal with windows shut. No restaurant at the hotel and no room service -which was advertised so disappointing not to be available. No tea/ coffee making facilities in room either so we always had to go out to have hot drink (except at breakfast). A good selection of cold food for buffet breakfast. It is a small hotel (27 rooms) and when we stayed there were few other guests. Rooms have good showers but no baths. The roof top terrace (solarium) has some sun loungers and cane seating but no other facilities, eg to get drink. We didn't see any other guests using this area. A hot tub or similar would be a great addition here as the hotel doesn't have a pool. There is another covered terrace on first floor which is laid out with tables and chairs but again we only saw 2 other guests using this area. There was an empty serving cabinet here so perhaps this area is utilised more in peak season. Overall I would say the hotel is more suited to business travellers than tourists but is good value for money. The island of La Maddalena is picturesque and there are some interesting sites to visit - including it's neighbouring island of Caprera but we found our stay of 7 days a bit too long. If you want to get around you really need to hire a car as public transport is unreliable. A return trip on the ferry to mainland Sardinia is around £30 for small car and 2 passengers.
