“Great hotel and spa”
I loved the new Marriott this was my second time there ( I went for the spa both times), but the first time I stayed. The hotel is great and the rooom I stayed in was humongous, I wish I didn't have to check out so early (due to a commitment). One small complaint the wireless is only free to I believe gold Marriott members however, I read that it was free. When I told them I read it was free, they were very gracious about refunding my money and said they would make sure it's notated that wireless is not free.
“Exceeded our expectations - unbelievable hotel!”
Our hotel stay was impeccable - everything exceeded our expectations. This hotel recently opened in fall 2010 and still looks brand new. The lobby and bar area are spotless and beautiful. Our room (single king bed) was as large as our two-bedroom apartment. There was a marble hallway from the door to the actual room, passing by a large closet, the bathroom and a bar alcove. The bathroom was almost as large as the bedroom itself. It had a huge bathtub, two separate sinks on two tables, a shower and a separate toilet room. The bedroom was spacious with two arm chairs, but had plenty of space for a sofa as well. The bed was extremely soft and had reading lamps attached to each side. Before we came home each night, our beds were turned down with candies on the pillow. The maids even organized our personal bathroom products that were left on the sinks each morning! We heard no noise from other neighbors or the elevators, which were right across from our room. The staff at the front desk were all extremely friendly and accommodating, giving us maps of the city and dinner recommendations. We spent time in the hotel bar each night and were impressed both times. Beer prices were more than reasonable and the second night we were not charged for our sodas. I am definitely staying at the JW Marriott again. The only thing I wish they offered was a breakfast in the morning!
“Best experience of my life!”
The valet staff were kind and courteous when processing my car for parking. The bellhop was very personable and we had an enjoyable conversation throughout the check-in process. He announced my name to the reception staff and informed them that I was a Marriott rewards member. After receiving my room key the bellhop escorted me to my room, requested the key so he could open the door for me (while carrying my luggage into the room), inspected the room to make sure that it was satisfactory and informed me that he would be around that evening so if I needed anything look out for him. The hotel room was beyond amazing. Everything from the decorations, the view of downtown Chicago, the bathroom, etc... was just mind blowing. And the bar in the main lobby rivals some of my favorite martini and jazz lounges. The drinks were reasonable in price and just as delicious. The atmosphere reminded me of the Queen's palace, with a modern twist. And the staff were the epitome of class and customer service. I have never in my life experienced service like what I received at the JW Marriott Chicago! I've stayed at hotels like the Ritz Carlton and other 5 star resort hotels world wide but nothing compares to what I've experienced with them. I will definitely be staying there for all of my Chicago visits.
“Lovely Hotel”
A Beautiful hotel very luxurious. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Perfectly positioned to be able to walk to many points of interest. Alas we only stayed one night - loved it.
“a MUST in the Loop”
wonderful location, not only w/ regards to access to local sights, but also easy to get to both O'Hare and Midway (did not need to transfer lines; blue line straight to the hotel from O'Hare; orange line straight from the hotel to Midway). JW Marriott's are always THE best place to stay--clean, modern, friendly/helpful staff, etc. If you are able to do so, I highly recommend visiting the Valeo Spa on site, and absolutely you must get the clarity chamber treatment--like nothing I'd ever experienced before. I must return ASAP.
“Luxury in the Loop!”
We had a great experience at J.W. Marriott Chicago. The hotel was immaculate, the room was pretty spacious and bathrooms were very nice. The staff were all extremly accomodating and helpful. Eric at the concierge was quite knowledgable as he gave us excellent suggestions and help as well as being pleasantly friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chicago. The location is central and there is easy access to whatever type of transportation you prefer.
“Absolutely Beautiful”
Loved the room and the hotel. The only bad thing is if you are not there on business nothing is open on the weekend surrounding the hotel other than restaurants. Looking forward to going to this hotel again and other locations of the JW!
“marumi”
It was very beautiful, comfort and cleanliness! Great! I want to stay this hotel again. I love it!
“One of the best choice downtown”
Definitely recommend this if you are staying downtown. Best hotel in the price range. Wasn't as crowed as the regular Marriott on Michigan Ave
“The best value and beautiful hotel!”
Beautiful hotel! Great service and right close to everything. We will only stay here from now on!
