Mango lagoon is a lovely quiet resort in beautiful tropical surrounds. Cheaper hotel rooms are basic but more than satisfactory, the staff were great and the many pools inviting. Just a short 5 minute walk to the main drag is easily done. I'll be back!

Mangoo Lagoon was a nice, comfortable and quite affordable place. The staff were very helpful in setting up the perfect day trips too. Overall, it is worth checking out.

Mango Lagoon Resort is a little piece of heaven tucked away in a beautiful and well kept area of Palm Cove. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet time away. 10/10 will be going back again.

Wonderful staff, particularly the Manager. This resort is just fantastic as it has all the emenities you could desire within an oasis of absolute peace and tranquillity. I can not wait to go back and I would like to think it could be my "beach house"...

“Will definately return to this Hotel”

Experience has shown me that most of the time the on line photos don't resemble the real thing. This was not the case at the Mango Lagoon Resort. The photos did not do it justice. From the moment we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place, the resort looks and feels like a five star resort in another country. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were large and very nicely furnished and the pools were well maintained and fitted the resort style. My wife visited the day spa and was treated to a excellant treatment from friendly staff. We will definately return and will recommend the resort to our friends.

“Palm Cove Mango Resort Impressed”

Very nice place. lighting in room a bit dim but reception offered reading lamps so ask if you need them. Did ask reception to replace light globe but was not done so next day asked for globe and replaced it ourselves. Room was fantastic exactly what we asked for. 4 adults all had our own bed. If you stay here it's good to have a hire car if you intend to do any sightseeing in Cairns but it is only a short walk to the shops through the back of the resort. Had breakfast at Chili Cafe and was fantastic. Also had dinner at Vivio was good. Also upstairs near the Post Office was Annie's Place a little bit of everything and really friendly service.

The welcome and service from staff was great. Mango Lagoon was so peaceful and and serene with its beautiful gardens ; specially liked the statues dotted about the gardens. Close to the beach and little shops. Fabulous eating places , great variety . Staff really helpful organising outings and tours . They even organised a car and driver to take us to the airport for our early flight home for a minimal fee .

“Know what you're getting”

I think if you know what you're getting, then you'll be fine. We got a special rate on expedia, much lower than all other hotels, which was great. But we didn't know that most of the place is apt.'s and we would have an "add on" room, meaning VERY SMALL, and no cleaning service all week. We could hardly turn around, only had one night table, and almost no light. We requested more lamps, and after the second request we got one, which helped a bit. The pool had 4 lounge chairs, one was broken. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, but it's just not set up for a traveler who isn't planning to stay in an apartment. But it was clean (when you got there) and fairly modern, so if you are willing to give up hotel ammenities for cost, then this is a good option as well.
