“Very nice and quiet hotel apartment”

Hotel has a no-smoking policy throughout its building and grounds which is excellent even for a smoker like me. Hotel is on elevated land on the beach.If you stay in a unit with seaview, you can hear the sounds of the waves. Nice small pool with BBQ facilities.Good beach restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet area away where you don't see hoardes of tourists around. Good place to relax. Supermarket is nearby, too.

Area recommendations

Palm Cove is a very nice beachfront developments with lots of shops and restaurants as well as accomodations. Reminds me of Hawaii. Another place to stay is Port Douglas, a nice little town.

Must see

The Great Barrier Reef cruise is a must do if you are in Cairns. Also, the skyrail and train ride to Kuranda to see the Barron Gorge is very enjoyable.

“I'll be back”

My stay at Amaroo was lovely. I was made very welcome on arrival and check in was no-fuss. My room was very clean and I had a lovely view of Trinity Beach from my balcony. This was perfect for my three day stay-very close to the great restaurants and beach. The grounds are very well kept and the pool and BBQ area are extremely well maintained. I enjoyed the Spa and had a couple of early morning swims. The beach access was also a plus. I will be staying again in a few weeks as my house is being renovated and this is the next best thing, Thank you. Chrissy

Area recommendations

Trinity Beach is a very relaxing holiday area. The restaurants are terrific and prices are very reasonable. The Beach is great with BBQ's available for public use. It is only 20 mins to Cairns airport and city. Palm Cove is another lovely area with some great shops and restaurants Both are great as a base as they are fairly close to larger shopping centres, yet retain that lovely 'holiday island' feel.

“" Very impressed "”

Fantastic view from balcony,apparment was nice and compact ( as seen in brouchure )Only small downside stairs down to beach a bit steep ( for us oldies ) but if you want a nice quite relaxed holiday THIS IS THE PLACE

“Best hotel I have ever stayed in!”

For the price, this is the best place I have ever stayed. We sat on the deck every morning and watched the sun come up, slept with the doors open and heard the waves crashing all noght long. It was great. The kitchens are a bit small and not very well equipped, but still a great place to stay.

Getting around

Be sure to rent a car. Most of the things worth seeing are a bit remote. There was no charge to park the car at the hotel, unlike the place we stayed at in Sydney where we had to pay $75.00 a day for parking.

“A great spot”

A great studio apartment, nicely furnished, modern and well appointed. Excellent value and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to an Ocean View room which was great - we had a beautiful view and it was nice to fall asleep to the sound of the waves on the beach. Loved sitting out on the private balcony, which was well screened from the neighbours. Trinity Beach itself is a lovely place, small, quiet and relaxed, with a good selection of restaurants and bars. We didn't get chance to use the swimming pool in the complex but it looked really nice. Unfortunately we were only there for two nights and arrived late in the evening - we could have happily stayed much longer if time had allowed.

“Great location”

Trinity Beach was a great location - away from the hustle and bustle. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were large and comfortable. No daily maid service and front desk open only 9-6pm.

“Didn't Want to Leave”

Not knowing what to expect we found Trinity Beach a lovely place to stay, not big and busy like the usual tourist places, everything within walking distance, somewhere to relax and enjoy the sun. I will definitely be going back. Amaroo Trinity was very nicely set out and decorated and we loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the water while having a drink or dinner, I wouldn't even bother looking at other accommodation, it was beyond my expectations and more.

Area recommendations

Would most definitely recommend hiring a car and driving through the Daintree Rainforest up to Cape Tribulation, its not as far as you think, Mossman Gorge was fantastic, called in to Port Douglas to see the market, we had a fabulous day.

The country - sugarcane fields, rainforest, beaches, there is so much.

“great place to stay”

We were very impressed with these studio arartments. they were a perfect size for a couple and had everything we needed. great location close to shops ,restaurants and a pub plus a fabulous view!!!Managers were very helpful with tour bookings and suggestions.We would highly recommend this resort.

Area recommendations

a boat trip out to The Reef is not to be missed to see the fish and the coral up close.
