“Great In the city hotel”
Room was comfortable and clean. Location was busy but parking available from the hotel was available but a little expensive. Parking garage was very tight and difficult to move through even with a small car. Had to pay for internet as well. No business services such as access to a printer/computer. Staff was very friendly. Located right next to Eagle Street Pier for easy access to water taxis.. great view of the bridge and city…. multiple dining options.
“Conveniently located”
Great hotel for the price. This block of apartments is very handy to the river and transport. You can walk into the city or travel across to Southbank by City Cat even at night. We came back after a show. The hotel is also well placed for restaurants, galleries and shopping. There is a taxi rank opposite, We were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment on the 36th floor. My only criticism is that the bedrooms appear small, as they have king size beds in them. We will return to this hotel again on our next visit to Brisbane.
“Saeed”
It was perfect stay
“Not exactly like a hotel”
The Oaks is not exactly like a hotel, being serviced apartments with a mixture of long term and short term guests. There is a reception on the ground floor, and gym and pool on the fifth but other than that I didn't notice any other facilities. BUT - that is fine as that is what we expected. We were after a bit of space, having spent the previous 7 nights on a cruise ship with relatively small cabin. The rooms at the Oaks are spacious. We had a double bedroom, bathroom, and combined lounge/dining room/kitchen. In the bathrom there were also a washing machine, laundry sink, and tumble drier neatly tucked away in a cupboard. Everything worked, everything was clean. Housekeeping apparently callid in when we were out and cleaned up, but we never saw them. Overall an excellent experience. And especially big thanks to reception for letting us check in 3 hours early - much appreciated.
“Most enjoyable”
Found this hotel to have great views. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Even had washing machine and dryer. Restuarants and cafes were in numbers and only a short walk ,great variety. Staff were very pleasent and helpfull. Would recommend.
“Great Location”
Lovely hotel. Close to everything. This is the second time we have stayed here as we like it's location.
“Great Location and Facilities”
Oaks on Felix was a great place to stay. The facilities allowed me to cook for myself and it was close to the location of the course I was attending. The apartment was clean and sufficiently stocked with basic cooking utensils.
“Great Place to stay in Brisbane”
Nice hotel. Great location & view. Highly recommend & would stay there again.
“Great location; otherwise just good, convenient, and different”
These weren't the typical hotel rooms we were expecting - they're actually apartments. Maybe I should have paid attention to the description but I didn't realize that until we got there. Tenants shared the building with hotel guests, and there's not much in the way of a hotel lobby, pool, or other normal hotel accommodations. But, the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. We had a one-BR apartment. The furniture was very basic, nothing plush or fancy, but still comfortable and clean. The balcony was very wide, and the entire LR wall was glass - very nice as we were on the 13th floor so the view was good. One unexpected but very nice convenience was the washer/dryer as we were just ending our first week of vacation and were happy to wash some clothes. The shower was small and while it was fine for us it would be inconvenient for large people. The shower door didn't close well so water got all over the floor. There's wired Internet access in the LR but it's not cheap. As my husband teaches online and we were still planning other parts of our vacation we needed Internet access and had to pay. The location was great, easily within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, sites, the river, and Botanic Gardens. The convenience of having a washer/dryer in the apartment, plus its location were the best features of the apartment, for us.
