“Wouldn't mind living there.”

It was totally amazing. Everything was perfect. The hotel itself was the picture in our "rough guide." In the top 32 things to do in bali, UBUD and COOKING CLASSES are listed. The photos for each were the hotel, and one of their staff members. Very cool.

“Bali Delight”

Chose this hotel because it sits right on a rice paddy. Every morning they brought 50 ducks into the fields and every evening herded them out. Quite delightful. Ten minutes via the hotel's minibus into town. It went once per hour which was convenient. One of the best included breakfasts that I have had. Fresh squeezed fruit juices and great breads. My friend took a 1:1 cooking class with the hotel and thought it was excellent. Quite an intimate place and the staff certainly went out of their way to make sure that our stay was everything we dreamed of.

“Bali At Its Best Without The Boom, Vroom!”

The Waka Di Uma Resort is something really out of the ordinary! If you're into hitting the streets, rockin' and rollin' with a Bintang in one hand, a Kuta club guide in another and a 'Prada' over the shoulder, this is NOT for you. On the other hand, if you're on the lookout for some quality peace and quiet, genuine Bali tranquility, fabulous staff, meticulously maintained facilities in a delightful location within the rice fields 7 mins out of Ubud, then go no further. This is it! Our Lanai Tce accom. had oodles of room, the bathroom was huge with indoor/outdoor bath & shower facility with a nice view over the rice paddies etc. Recommend the (free) early morning guided walk in the neighbouring rice fields. The swimming pool facilities are good with two pools on offer with room to stretch out. Likewise, the hotel restaurant / breakfast menus were well executed by extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Free hotel transfers to and from Ubud are on also offer. In short, it's the Bali people that really make the difference. They're welcoming, appreciate your business, value your support (during some rough times of late) and make the experience so worthwhile. The Waka Di Uma tries very hard to deliver the promise...and in my view achieves admirably. Next time, we'll return for a longer period than our recent 4 days. Highly recommended!

“Devine Ubud stay”

This resort provides a wonderfully relaxing respite from the fun but frenetic pace of Ubud. 5 minutes by car from the centre of town, or you can walk it in 15mins, this oasis of peace and serenity is the perfect balance to one's stay in this fabulous part of the island. Pamper your self by booking in here. The staff are delightful too.

“Relax in the rice fields”

If you are after a quiet relaxing resort in the Ubud rice fields, then I would recommend Waka Di Ume ( Di Ume = rice fields) This hotel is 5 minutes drive out of town with a free shuttle bus service. We enjoyed the food, excellent level of service from friendly staff complementry afternoon tea and reaxing swims in the pool.

“Lovel Ubud hotel”

A beautiful little hotel and spa, excellent staff. Breakfast was OK but not particularly special. A wonderful outlook over rice paddies. The manager went out of his way to make sure things went well for us.
