Nice hotelPosted 14/10/2013
We stayed for 4 nights, was a nice experience. Hotel staff were very friendly (we found this wherever we stayed to be honest) a slight downside would be the persistance of the staff trying to sell their tours - you couldn't go anywhere without someone starting a conversation about what we're doing tomorrow or the following day! We didn't actually book a tour through the hotel as they were very expensive. That would be the only negative comment I have though. The hotel itself was very beautiful and felt very relaxing. You have to get a shuttle bus into town which the hotel supply 2 or 3 times a day for free or a small fee if at a different time. The rooms were spotless and very nice/comfortable. Breakfast was nice, and a bonus to be included for the room price. Overall good value for money. I would recommend this hotel.

Supports students training in tourismPosted 10/10/2013
Pros: Run by kids who were super sweet. Got a sort of 'country' experience in the rice fields.
Cons: The on-site restaurant was the one thing that stood out as needing some work. Also, if you like to drink, you are limited to Bali wine & maybe beer.
Location: Bali Deli is just up the street. Walking distance to furniture, antiques, sculptures (being created!) and some souvenirs.
Suly is not in town, but it is a very short cab ride from the main part of Ubud. (If you really like to walk long distances, I did walk into town one day). The hotel is partly a school for underprivileged children where they train in tourism. Day trips are offered as well as a number of classes. I took a sculpture class with a patient young boy who loved art and drumming. Kids run the front desk, make up the wait staff, teach some of the classes, do the cleaning... I don't remember any adults that weren't guests except maybe a teacher. I heard tons of frogs at night because it's tucked in the rice fields. There are several different swimming pools to choose from. My room was equipped with everything I'd need, sort of dorm-room feeling (tiny bathroom) but it had a good size flat screen TV on the wall and a comfortable bed & A/C. The students all put on an evening performance one night that included classic balinese singing, dancing and playing of traditional instruments. Oh yeah, there is even a spa but I didn't try it out.

Pros: decent rooms, helpful staff, great pool, restaurant is pretty good, free shuttle to town, yoga and massage facilities
Cons: bathrooms were strangely arranged plus the toilet was a bit smelly.
Location: a little out of ubud centre, can be walked in 30 minutes or a free shuttle 3 times a day. can book plenty of day trips through the hotel travel desk.
had a great stay here, plenty to do in ubud and also the tours on offer were excellent. would definately stay here again and we had no conplaints at all!

Nice and relaxing hotelPosted 06/09/2013
Pros: The staff and overall environment
Location: Nothing is located beside the hotel as it is located at the outskirt of the Ubud town
This is a very pleasant and relaxing hotel in located in the outskirt of Ubud town which is around 10 mins driving distance from the town. The staff in the hotel was extremely friendly whereby they do greet you all the while whenever you met with anyone of them giving you the feeling of home. The swimming pool is surrounded by the paddy field and you will feel so relaxed swimming beside it. I couldn't describe more as it was way too good beyond any words can describe and my wife and I had a really relaxing stay here and we wish to come back again to this hotel. The only cons is that the hotel is located far away from the hotel and although the hotel prepare free shuttle but the time for the free shuttle for return from Ubud is 12pm and 430pm which I think most of the people would not have enough time to explore the whole Ubud town. If you wish to arrange certain time for pickup, you will need to pay 35,000 rupiah for the 1 way trip which I think is reasonable.

Comfortable stay in the midst of green fieldsPosted 24/08/2013
Pros: I liked the greenery and quietness of the place. Staff is also very kind and well mannered.
Cons: Housekeeping and room services should be more efficient.
Location: Ibu Oka, a restaurant well know for suckling pig is right outside the hotel. To head out into Ubud u need to take a taxi which is easily available.
There can be miscommunication because of lack of understanding. The hotel was to send a transport to the airport for our pick up but it seems they never received confirmation. But this could have been a one off incident. The staff at the reception was very apologetic and very kind. Our family room with two rooms attached to each other were preety good and satisfactorily clean. The bathroom of one room was clean but the second bathroom was not paid much attention. Clean sheets and towels were provided. Expect a delay in the service to rooms of any kind and also restaurant service is preety laid back. Their spa is good. They have 2 swimming pools which are quite nice and feels in the midst of green fields. A walk around the place is refreshing. Breakfast not all that great but satisfactory. Over all experience is good and the staff is very kind. It's nice for a quite holiday and some yoga.

Fantastic!Posted 11/08/2013 on Hotels.com
Everything was perfect. Staff were so welcoming and did everything they could to make it a lovely stay. It's less than a 5 min drive from Ubud town but they run a shuttle service to and from. The only thing I thought of while there was from your room, the hallway can be quite loud with other guests passing by- if you're a light sleeper. I sleep through anything though so didn't bother me.

Hotel with a difference, helping the communityPosted 04/08/2013
Cons: Pools, 1 was closed, the other was shabby
Nice hotel, run by young student staff. We had adjoining rooms which made for a comfortable family stay. Pools not very good but we had plenty to occupy us around Ubud.
