“Good Choice at a Good Price”
The Quadrant Hotel was located in Central Auckland. We were able to walk to the Harbour or catch the local buses at the University right across the street. We stayed their for a week in a studio room. It had everything we needed at a excellent price. We would recommend it for anyone visiting Auckland.
“Satisfaction and comfort personified”
Just awesomeness. Great facilities can't wait to go back.
“A good place to stay”
Our room was excellent - 2 double beds and full kitchen and dining facilities (with a meal delivery service which worked well). It is a 10 minute walk away from the Quay Street attractions but this is more than made up for by the quality of the accommodation. There is a parking service for which there is a charge.
“great hotel”
this hotel was very nice indeed, and esp so as i was on one of the highest floors. i would ef recommend this hotel and i esp liked the kitchette, with microwave and toaster. the staff were lovely too. the only things i didnt really like was that it is located on the top of a hill which made ducking back to the room tough, also it took ages to check me in - though i still got into the room before their 3pm checkin time. all in all, excellent and excellent value too. i would stay here again, no worries.
“Very pleasant experience”
Travelled with my mother who has emphysema so the location was not great for us. Walk to the city centre, link bus, or any public transport was too steep and too much for her. This would not be a problem for anyone without this condition. Accommodation was excellent and it was great having the little lounge area and kitchenette. Food from room service was excellent, though limited in choice. I was surprised to find no promotional material on what's on in the city in the room or at reception. I found Auckland to be a city of surprises, where you really need to do a lot of walking and exploring to find the lovely little "hamlets" with a great choice of dining experiences and good boutiques. Almost missed Viaduct Basin at the end of Quay Street (like a smaller Darling Harbour). Had a great meal and evenings entertainment at Danny Doolans Irish Pub in this area.
“Cool hotel with great service”
I stayed two different nights at the Quadrant during my NZ travels and so enjoyed it. The rooms are well-furnished (one that I stayed in had a washing machine) along with full kitchen. Their service was great -- woman at the breakfast counter was very sweet and they stayed open a bit later for me to get a late breakfast. In one of my rooms, the TV volume was not working properly and was a bit too low. Maintenance couldn't fix it and the hotel was full, so they couldn't get me a new one, but didn't charge me for the movie I'd rented. Also great help with shuttle and taxi requests to the airport. Very modern decor throughout the hotel and in a good location on a hill just up from main shopping and food and the marina. Gym a bit small -- only 3 workout machines and a compact weight lifting machine, plus some free weights.
“Excellent central hotel”
Brilliant hotel / apartments, have heard people say it's really small and whilst the rooms are not huge they are very well arranged. It's only a 5 minute walk down to Queen Street so is really central, but just out of the main CBD. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are immaculate, modern and comfortable - highly recommended!
“Relaxed atmosphere at the Quadrant hotel”
A well presented hotel in an ideal location of Auckland. Nice use of lighting and decor. Suitable hotel amenities. The studio room was of adequate size and the unit clean.
“Great hotel”
This hotel is in a fantastic location, only a few minutes walk to the quay (ferries, buses), across the street from the University of Auckland, and a short walk to the domain. It has beautiful views, and very nice rooms with unexpected amenities: a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and washing machine.
“Great value and location!”
The Quadrant is everything you expect from a small, somewhat hip, boutique hotel. The room was small by American standards, but very well laid out and functional. We had a 14th floor corner Exec one bedroom that had stunning views on two sides, at no extra charge. The one knock is the washer/dryer that comes with this room was difficult to use, took hours and did not do a good job. Given that, I would still stay here again. Amazing value, great location and friendly, helpful staff.
