“Hotel”

If you want to stay late check out it is $50.00 per hour and if you are on the club floor they won't let you use the club floor unless you pay $50.00 per hour which is ridiculous.

“Would highly recommend a stay”

This hotel was clean and of good decorative order and staff helpful but unobtrusive. Rooms comfortable and bright and the free tea/coffee service was very much appreciated. All also well placed and within walking distance to the harbour front and shopping/cafe area

“An incredible value, but location in CBD not perfect for vacationers”

The Langham is an immaculate traditional luxury hotel with a very helpful staff and we would return in a heartbeat because our rate was a huge bargain. They offered us early check-in and late check-out at no extra charge. The disadvantage from a tourist's perspective is location, a 25 minute walk from the harbour or 5-10 minute ride on their free shuttle bus which runs every 30 minutes. Our friends paid three times the price to stay at the cold, modern Marriott Harbourside where the only thing we liked was the view and one minute walk to ferries and Viaduct Quay for great restaurants. We would not hesitate to stay at the Langham again. One little perk was that our shuttle bus drivers were friendly and informative. By the time we made the 5-10 minute drive to the harbour we had helpful restaurant recommendations and great tips about inexpensive ferry rides to gems such as Devonport and Waiheke Island. Overall, our Langham experience was five star and we cannot wait to go back.

“Elegant hotel”

It is a very elegant hotel, with many amenities within the bathroom: besides the standard shampoo and lotion, they have complimentary: loofah, sewing kit, shaving kit, dental kit, nail files, talc powder, they come in boxes. Use of a terry bathrobe (however there was only 1 in the room). The room has a big plasma TV, the bed has several pillows. The pool is located on the second floor within the Spa and there are changing rooms. They have complimentary internet access from computer stations located on floors 5 and 6 and on 10 (Executive floor) however it's always full of youngsters updating their facebooks. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus to the neighboring DFS Galleria. There's a charge for self-parking and triple that for valet parking. Prices for eating at the hotel are outrageous, buffet breakfast has an exorbitant price, not to mention room service. Mini-bar also comes with expensive prices.

“I Love The Langham!”

Our pre-cruise stay at The Langham was exceptional. Both the public areas and our room were beautifully decorated, with every ammenity. The staff are superb; the atmosphere is refined and very courteous, yet friendly. We were able to walk to all the sites of interest from there. On top of all this, The Langham was an excellent value for money, especially given the current favorable exchange rate!

“Relax at the Langham”

This is a superb hotel where everything works as it should do at one of 'the Leading Hotels of the World'. In terms of value for money this hotel is unbeatable. It's location is good too for downtown Auckland and they run a regular bus service free of charge ( not ' for free' ) This place is the best.

“Friendly First Class Hotel”

I took my 83 year old mom on my trip to New Zealand. I was pleasantly surpised when I arrived at the Langham..we were in "high cotton" and I was able to treat my mom to classy service on a budget. I did upgrade services to the concierge floor but it was well worth it. the Spa facilities at the hotel were wonderful and it didn's cost an extra dime unless you wanted treatments..after use of the outdoor hot tub, indoor suana and steam room with "Ice", I couldn't been more relaxed. All staff at the hotel were helpful, warm, friendly, and very accomodating. I couldn't have asked for more.
