“Good bang for the buck!”

At the price , you can't beat it. Room was comfortable, very well equipped with dishes, coffee, etc, and very clean. We were on the 6th floor and could hear street noise, but it wasn't bad. Reminded me of staying in NY City. Over all, would definitely recommend to anyone trying to save a few dollars.

Area recommendations
Downtown. Lots of tourist attractions, city bus, restaurants, bars.
Outdoors or beach
Wheheike? Island. I'd skip it if you're there in the winter. The biggest attraction is the beaches - nice to see but can't swim in the winter. Also, the wineries are only open on weekends - a little dissappointing.

“Convenient & Comfortable”

We booked this on a really good 50% off deal - what we received was a great one bedroom apartment on the 13th floor with a small kitchenette & plenty of space. It wasn't luxurious but it was clean & comfortable. This property was fantastic value for money - even if we hadn't received the special deal. We were based right in the middle of town & there was a bus-stop right outside the door if you wanted to get the "Link" bus which does a loop just around the outside of the CBD.

Area recommendations
For somewhere to stay, I recommend the CBD or just outside like Parnell or Newmarket. Both the latter are very close to the CBD with plenty of shopping & restaurants. The "Link" bus goes through both areas so it is very easy & cheap to get around (only NZD$1.80 for each trip - no matter how many stops you travel whether it be one or six).

“Very happy, will be back!”

Great value for money: situated in the centre of Auckland with a short walk to the fabulous harbour! A little old but clean - being a single traveller I found it easy to get around: shops and eateries close by: lot of tour information. My room had a kitchen with provisions of tea, coffee, cooking utensils etc. I would definately book again!

Auckland - Sky Tower Waiheke Island - Winery Tours Rotorua I was only in Auckland for 3 days so I saw as much as was possible!
Getting there
I went with Air New Zealand: great airline but be careful of the type of ticket you purchase: cheap fare does not include meals..not a problem if you realise at the time of booking. Excellent staff.
Getting around
There is a free bus which goes around the city: leaves from the harbour.
Must see
Waiheke Island for Wine Tours Rotorua for hot springs, glow worm cave and kiwi bird sanctuary Sky Tower in Auckland

“Good value, great location”

Good, basic hotel, great location, decent price, comfortable rooms. I arrived here after a 30h trip and was pleased. When I asked for a bathroom with a tub, they reaccommodated me the following day. The hotel is located across the street from the Sky Tower. Everything is within easy walking distance.

“A+++ a 10 out of 10”

hotel staff and amenities were impeccable. overall the experience and stay were outstanding and memorable. Highly recommended. The hotel is conveniently located in the CBD. If you are able to book for advance, we would recommend you to book the studio room which has the comfort of a hotel room with kitchnette facilities. You may not need breakfast as Auckland is a small city therefore shops and eateries are within walking distance.

“Excellent hotel for the money.”

This is an excellent hotel for the money. The rooms were good sized, clean and quiet. If I were to look for negatives, I would say that the bathrooms do not have enough counter space and not enough hooks for towels and stuff. There is always a long wait for the elevators for some reason. The location of the hotel is near a plethora of small restaurants which makes finding reasonable food to eat very easy. But gourmet restaurants are a distance away.

“Not Impressed”

Hotel was in a good area of Auckland. Very near everything and an easy walk to the harbour. However, the hotel seemed understaffed. We were travelling as a group of three and almost always need more towels. Some days, we needed to go down to the desk to pick up the towels. I can't comment on the restaurant as due to lack of occupancy, the restaurant wasn't up and running for dinner. The room decor seemed a bit dated and overall I think the hotel needed updating on most every level. The kitchenette was stocked with everything that I needed to make tea, etc. Tea was included and there was an electic kettle to make tea quickly in the room. This hotel was cheaper than many in the Auckland area and it seemed to be a case of you get what you pay for.

Area recommendations
This area of Auckland seemed very nice. Very near the sky tower. About 10 -15 minute walk to the ferry terminals, etc. Some very nice restaurants in the area. Overall a nice location.
